If I were to cancel my Netflix subscription, Microsoft would have to match and/or succeed the amount of Instant Watch movies/tv shows Netflix has to offer.  But yeah, I'm all for a Zune Pass Video Subscription, aka Zune Pass Plus.

Bands I like: Muse, Fightstar, Paramore, The Killers, Phantom Planet, Ash, Apoptygma Berzerk.

Consider it to be a competitor to cable.  Imagine if you could pay $30/40 a month and get tiered access to channels like you can with cable.  It would be like On Demand from cable TV.

Many people would probably cancel cable if the quality were as good as regular cable and they had access to network TV and cable stations (won't be HD, tho).  This would be amazing if they can do it.


My Zune 30 is not only still having a good run, but it's now grown up into a Zune 60 running for twice as long of a run..

For the love of Pete, MICROSOFT, please get movies on ZMP. Get figured out how we can get everything with a Zune Pass. This thread has been going for nearly a year now and still nothing!!! If Microsoft doesn't get it together soon, iPod is gonna run them into the ground.

sorry if this is a repeat, i didn't read through all the posts.  while i wholeheartedly support zune pass including video in their plan, i'm already nervous enough that they're going to have future problems with it.  i don't know about other people, but i find a lot of albums that aren't available for download or tracks that require purchase under the zune pass plan.  i imagine after all the legal work it took to create a zune pass plan with 80-85% of marketplace's music available for one rate a month, that it would take MUCH more work to get the video rights for that too.  don't get me wrong, zune pass with video would be awesome, and i'd totally pay extra for it, but i just wonder how realistic it would be...

I would love to see a netflix type format added to the Zunepass. I used to be with napster and the only reason I switched to Zune was more value for my money and the videos and tv shows. If Zune could have movies and tv shows added for unlimited viewing man they would corner the MP3 Player market. The only thing that makes itunes site better is the awesome amount of videos and movies available. If Zunepass could have the same availability and unlimited viewing for a monthly fee it would be the greatest site ever.

If the only option were a more expensive Zune Pass with video, I certainly would not be subscribing to it - I just don't watch enough TV shows/movies to make it worth it (and I can get a lot of movies free from the library, anyways).  Were it to be an additional option, with the current music-only option still in place, then sure, two options would be fine.

I agree, I'd pay extra for a NetFlix like subscription model. Or better yet, just get NetFlix to support Zune. Either way is a win.

Add XBL to to mix and have it at 100 bucks a year and you can.

1. Have all the Gold Features on XBL

2. Zune Pass for 1 Year (remove the 10 free songs a month)

3. Watch Movies on the Zune, Xbox and PC 1 Movie a day and up to 5 shows a day.

 

There are over 25+ Million People on LIVE, Jump In!!!!

I totally support this.  I would cancel my Netlflix account if Zune would give me this option.
