What Does Your Screen Name Mean...?

Howdy Y'all,

I always am interested as to why peeps choose their particular screen name... and what it means to them...  So, here's mine:

Wolfeyes7... because I LOVE Wolves and am devoted to trying to keep our government from destroying the entire wolf population... since just like the Native American Indians... the wolves were here first... so in my opinion... man should learn to live w/them...  And the number 7 is my favorite !  Big Smile [:D]  Yes [Y]

Stoic - unattached, like a stone, etc etc, and Raven becaue Poe is the greatest writer imo ever......

P.S. The Gov't is reintroducing the wolf in areas it deems acceptable it is not "destroying" the wolf

When I got XBL, I tried to use my last name but it was taken, so I just chose JARHEAD at random.  Been thinking about changing it, but last i checked it costs about ten bucks, so its not worth it.

Mopigeonsdad is a tribute to my son Chris. He had a mohawk that he was very proud of. He was at the local mall one day with a friend and he was making fun of people with what he called weak mohawks. His friend Lauren asked him what was on his head and he told her a mohawk. She laughed and told him that it was a mopigeon at best. The nickname stuck. He was mopigeon from then on. In Jan of 2007 Chris was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma. For the next 8 and a 1/2 months Chris fought with all of his strength. In September after being told there was nothing more than could be done for him Chris made the decision to come home. On October 3rd, the day before his 19th Birthday Chris passed from this world. I lost my hero that evening. But he is always with us, living in our hearts. We miss you Mopigeon and we will always love you.

I cant imagine your loss. I lost a nephew at the age of 13. He was a great kid...

 

As far as my screen name...well lets just say I get off on listening to rock..hehe in the virtual sense...

The Gov't is reintroducing the wolf in areas it deems acceptable it is not "destroying" the wolf...  Uh No Stoic... have to vehemently disagree w/you here... as there has been aerial shooting/killing of hundreds of wolves over the last few years... diminishing their numbers greatly... and as you say... "The Gov't. ... deems acceptable..."  That's exactly what I'm talking about... why should the Gov't. be in control of the wolf population...?  And the answer is... the "venerable" ranchers will not vote Gov. officials into office unless they kowtow to their whining about wolves slaughtering their cattle... when it's common knowledge that wolves NEVER overkill and only kill what their pack needs to survive on... Whisper [:-*]

So, let's see... a few head of cattle vs. hundreds of dead wolves... a natural balance...?  I think not...  wolves are highly intelligent, loving and dedicated animals who can easily co-exist w/in an environment of domestic livestock... and they would not decimate a herd to the point of huge losses...  It's just once again, powerful men's desire to control anything and everything to their satisfaction...  and I would absolutely love to place all of the men involved in this destruction of wolf packs in the same fields of wilderness and hunt them down mercilessly until they're all dead...  Angry [:@]

So... thanks to the rest of you for sharing the meaning of your screen name... and Mopigeon as I messaged you... I am deeply sorry for your incredible loss and can only hope that time will heal you even if just in a small way...  Left Hug [{]  Broken Heart [U]

Well the government is not trying to destroy the wolf population, actually they have re-populated wolves into large areas of the Pacific Northwest. Dont get me wrong here, they are beautiful animals and yes they were here first, but have you ever run into one in the middle of nowhere Idaho?

 I have and I did not have a good time!

 But you are right they should be here and we as people should learn how to deal with it.

Sorry for the rant....Back to the orginal question....

Hi everyone, my name is Pat.  I'm 39 and received a Zune 80 from my wife for Christmas.  I live in suburban Maryland and work in suburban Virginia for a major telecom company.  In November, I retired from the Air National Guard after 21.5 years just before my twins were born (1 boy and 1 girl).

Shinigami = "god of death" in Japanese.  Someone started calling me that when I was 15 or so because well... I'm evil (and FEMALE!).  Punch because it's just what happened to be typed afterwards.
