Zune HD screen issue - 3 white lines across the screen
Anyone else having this issue?  Just started tonight.

Same thing happened to me 2 days after I bought it. My screen started with 3 lines and now it  is completely white now. No idea what happen. Never dropped it.. only used it for a few hours. Sending it in to get repaired... it sucks.

You guys are scaring me. :/

Hopefully Microsoft will address the issues to let us know what to look out for, and what is normal.

Owner of a brown Zune 30 and a red Zune 8.

And now a green ZuneHD.

A similar thing happened to me.  The device is now off for repairs.

Me too. It started with one blue line. Then a few hours later 2 and then 3. When I sent it in, one line was really bright, one line was blue, and one line was flashing.

http://service.zune.com is where you do it.
According to the tracking number, they should receive it today.

I want mine back! :P

It's disappointing to say the least, but I believe that the only way to get resolution on this particular issue is to send the device back for repair/replacement.

Kinda makes you wonder how long these zune hd's were sitting around. As far as I know 1st gen oled screens before zune had a very short shelf life. Thats one reason why they haven't used them in too big of tv's yet.

I have one white line at the top of the screen...flashes and changes colors as things pass through it.  Does anyone know of a way to fix this without sending the Zune in for service??  I am leaving for India in a week and I REALLY would like to have my Zune for the trip.

If people still have their receipts they should be able to take it back to where they bought it since warranty should cover such a thing. I know people who were able to take the Zune 80 GB back to the store the bought it from and get a replacement, they bought it from Staples. If that does not work you can just send it to be repaired/replaced which can take a while.

Zunes says it'll take 15 days to look over zune. If you'll be there that long you could always give your address and pay the extra shipping.
