Connecting the Zune HD to a browser-based login Internet/WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Support
I am a college student and on our campus we need to login with our student credentials to access wifi, but when i try to connect from my Zune HD it says "local network only, Try again?" and it doesn't let me login, so no wifi. Someone please tell me there is a way to work around this?

UPDATE: The campus wifi is Unsecure so it doesnt need a WEP/WPA key to connect.

Same thing here. I'm trying to get on wifi that requires user authentication but the wireless just reports "local only." the signal is also unencrypted.

It's the same thing with my school (only the log in is software-based that you have to download), but I don't think the ZuneHD's browser can recognize that kind of authentication.

Yeah, I have the same problem.  I seem to remember the Zune team saying that the web browser finally allowed you to connect to these types of networks.  Sadly, I can't get it to work.

Yea, and CNET also mentioned it in their podcast yesterday that they were able to go thru their passthru website so maybe this is something that still needs to be worked out.

I am having a similar (and frustrating) problem with public wifi at work.  To connect, the browser gets re-directed to an authentication page.  Unfortunately, it says that it "can't load the page you requested", so you can't fully connect to the network.  This seems like a "must fix" problem to me.

edit: im going to test something i heard might work, just need to drive to campus, hopefuly it works!
