KiD CuDi or Drake?
Both are two upcoming artists, representing new-age rap. They blend R&B & Rap and have successfully become rather well known without having to make a party record. Kid Cudi is an affiliate of Kanye West, while Drake was "found" by Lil Wayne.

Kid Cudi released a mixtape "A kid named Cudi"
Drake released a mixtape "So far gone"

They both are very similar! Which is why I compare them. Cudi is more R&Bish and a bit out there. Drake raps more (influence of Wayne) but periodically sings [pretty good]. Very similar artists! There's two things I want to know from you guys

Who do you prefer more right now?
Which artist do you think will blow up more?

At the moment I am 50/50 on them! But I think Kid Cudi will blow up more because of his infectioness hit "Day n Nite"

Drake EASILY. I still dont see the hype behind CuDi, he cant really sings, his lyrics are average, and his beats are hit or miss.

I'll give it to Drake for lyrics and singing ability. Creativity and subject matter though, and just overall swag... Kid Cudi is there. He's tapping into a niche market. I can relate. Here's a few Cudi songs worth a listen...

Embrace the Martian
Cleveland is the Reason
Man on the Moon (I.... love it)
Sky Might Fall (I hear this is his first single but it has nothing in the preceding songs. Great lyrics but not creative)
Day n Nite Original/Crookers rmx


I can have a Kid Cudi album filled with songs such as those and be good for the next 3 years

I would go with Drake on this. I don't mind some of CuDi's stuff but Drake is tight!

CuDi is definately better.  He is more creative and a nice alternative to the mainstream, same old crap everyones used to.  And yes Im from Cleveland but that doesnt have much to do with my opinion.

I cant say that Cudi is better...he does have that day n' nite. which croookers completely killed(in a good way). But I think Drake is overall more talented. The dude can spit. I heard him on a couple mixtapes and he's got that flow. He just needs to go out there and make a hit single. Hasn't done it yet so its to early to say whose better. But yeah i think Drake has overall more potential from what i've heard.

Drake FTW... Hands down. Not taking anything away from Cudi though - he's definitely got his niche.
