What songs have gotten you through a rough patch?

What songs have gotten you through a rough patch?
What songs- of whatever genre or time period- have helped you get through a really difficult time in your life (preferably songs that are downloadable here)?   I would really like to hear about them.  The songs that have helped me the most are on Nina Simon's Here Comes the Sun-  ooeee (spelling?) Child, Here Comes the Sun, and A New Day Coming.  No matter how bad I have felt, these songs always lift the load.  What about you?

I'd have to say Gordon Lightfoot's album Gold's Gold. It always reminds me of home. The songs I'd recommend are Early Morning Rain, Sundown, Summer Side of Life, Rainy Day People, Don Quixote and Circle of Steel.

Cowboy Dan by Modest Mouse really got me through the day I broke up with my girlfriend. Not really sure why it helped as much as it did, but I just kept it on repeat for pretty much the whole day. "Kicked it in the Sun" by Built to Spill gets me through anything:

Oh man, definitely Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here album.  Every time I'm having a bad day or feel like *** I put on this album, it works miracles.  Animals, being the dark pessimistic album it is, has gotten me through much much darker problems...I'm going crazy...

And what exactly is a dream?  And what exactly is a joke?

Many of blink-182's albums have helped me throughout highschool.  Especially songs like "I Miss You," "Always," "Stay Together For The Kids..."  and many more :D

Anything slayer. if i had to pin point a song, it would be either "Eyes of the Insane" or "Disciple". to me those songs gave me the chance to let out the anger without hurting anyone.

Darkness on the Edge of Town

I was in the darkest place I've ever been from 2002-2004, and the album kept me hungry and hopeful that no matter how bad it was I couldn't give up.  Darkness motivated me to keep fighting.  When I first heard it all the way through, my jaw dropped as I did not realize that Rock and Roll could be so beautiful, so artistic, so articulate, and yet so raw.
