how to speed up software tips

here are some things you can do to speed up your zune software;

1, go to settings >display > and uncheck the box that says "automatically show the now playing screen when software is idle" or something like that

2, settings>general>uncheck the box that says "show song info in taskbar when zune software is minimized

3, also in settings>display> hold down and move the ball to the left where it says "premium graphics rendered with animation:"

Settings for device? It seams to be computer software. Player great by it self. Very difficult to use software with player. Very slow or worse.

WOW...thanks for these simple changes.  My processer time was reduced alot.  Really speed up the entire system.

Also, I don't know if it's just me or not, but today I changed the background of the Zune Software back to "Zero", which is the background that came with the 3.0 update (for me anyways), and this also seemed to help, because it's a plain background, not a fancy one.

I encourage the Zune Team to "lighten" the software as much as possible. Even after turning off the enhanced graphics the software consumes an enormous amount of CPU usage. Maybe in the days of quad cores and 4GB RAM it will be speedy but that's a few years out for a lot of us.
