I doubt that'll happen any time soon.

My life is going in reverse.

Most people that have a Mac mostly like Apple overall, so I think they will stick with the ipod (big mistake)

I have a MacBookPro laptop and I decided to get a Zune 80 after messing around with several iPods... The only purpose my mac serves when I'm out with my Zune is charging it. I think the Zune would be way more popular if software were avaliable on Mac computers.

You go to a college campus, and you see that a large portion of students walk around using Macs. Those are also the same students who purchase music off iTunes. By not supporting the Mac, I think Microsoft is excluding a sizeable portion of  possible-users (although stats may say otherwise).

Those same people walking around with those Apple-made laptops only have one choice, and that's an iPod. If the Zune software was compatible with Macs, I would gladly sell my Pod on Ebay and use my Zune exclusively. I have friends what would do the same. =)

I know the chance of that happening is slim to none, but still, one can want/wish.

I comletey agree with you!! I cannot stress enought that Microsoft's exclusion for Mac support isn't in their favor. Sure its always been Mac vs PC, but look at Apple, have they decided to exclude Windows... No! (Well maybe because the majority of the world uses PC but hey). I don't see why Microsoft would want to restrict their market share to just Window users, in the ever growing Mac world...

I too am using a MacBook, coping to sync my Zune2  80 on a Virtual Machine.. Mac support is a must in order to obtain Zune's full potential.

re: zune for mac????

I think many people would be happy with Mac compatability, but i think Microsoft is holding out for one reason. They want more MONEY! They are hoping to force people who have a Zune and want to purchase a Mac to also buy a Windows OS because of Mac's dual booting abilities. This keeps Microsoft laughing all the way to the bank despite the fact that you have a Mac.

Mictosoft,

You need to step it up and make Zune compatable with Mac. Seriously, there are ao many people who would buy a Zune for their Mac. Everyone with an ipod that I have shown my Zune says they wish they had one. You guys are are allowing Apple to continue their donimation in this part of the market.

re: zune for mac????
i agree. I have a Macbook Pro that im always using because of school and ran Windows on it for games and my Zune but after having so many problems with the software and sync issues I just deleted Window cuz its not worth having (and i needed to space) So now I got an 80gig that i cant add music to (which i couldnt anyways)... Argh!!! So frustrating! If only Apple made an 80gig Touch

I might as well chime in and voice my support for Mac compatibility.  I was hoping that this latest update (2.5) would finally allow support but, as expected, I was disappointed.  For a while I thought I was the only one with a Mac/Zune combo.  It's nice to see so many others requesting this as well.  Hopefully MS has this on their radar and plan to bring it to fruition at some point.  The 2.5 update finally gave us back the ability to use autoplaylists as well as gapless playback.  The only thing missing now is Mac support!

re: zune for mac????
I think you over-estimate the demand by Mac users for Zune support. The reality is that most Mac users hate everything Microsoft puts it's name on, so it's unlikely that many Mac users broke from the pack and got a Zune... We welcome those of you who did, but I suspect your a very small group. I wouldn't anticipate a Mac version of Zune anytime soon, if ever. Your best bet is using Boot Camp or virtualization software to run Windows.
