most people that have a Mac mostly like Apple overall so i think they will stick with the ipod (big mistake)
I have a MacBookPro laptop and I decided to get a Zune 80 after messing around with several iPods... The only purpose my mac serves when I'm out with my Zune is charging it. I think the Zune would be way more popular if software were avaliable on Mac computers.
You go to a college campus, and you see that a large portion of students walk around using Macs. Those are also the same students who purchase music off iTunes. By not supporting the Mac, I think Microsoft is excluding a sizeable portion of possible-users (although stats may say otherwise).
Those same people walking around with those Apple-made laptops only have one choice, and that's an iPod. If the Zune software was compatible with Macs, I would gladly sell my Pod on Ebay and use my Zune exclusively. I have friends what would do the same. =)
I know the chance of that happening is slim to none, but still, one can want/wish.
