Top Stand Up Comedy Routines
Lewis Black, Daniel Tosh, Mitch Hedberg, Kat Williams, Demetri Martin, Patton Oswalt

Some of those guys have some vulgar acts, but very effective and hilarious.  Daniel Tosh takes some touchy subjects and makes them fun for everyone.  Mitch Hedberg has some great one-liners as his style shows.  Demetri Martin does the guitar playing routine as he says short jokes on top.  Check 'em out on youtube or download them.  Great fun!

Eddie Murphy's Raw is freekin hilarious, so is Chris Rock's Never Scared, Dave Chapelle's Killin' Them Softly, Dane Cook's Rough Around edges, and George Lopez's Why You Crying. Those are my personal favs

I'm a fan of George Carlin, plus a lot of the people mentioned here.

Things are not as bad as they seem. They are worse than that. They are also better than that.

My favorite comedians are all dead.  Mitch Hedberg was hilarious.  His delivery alone could make a phone book hilarious.  If you're in a pissed off mood, the best comedian to watch is Bill Hicks.  He's another that died too soon.  And if you want something off the wall, I reccomend scanning YouTube for Andy Kaufman bits.  There is a four parter of Andy Appearing on HBO that is experimental and brilliant.  Also, if you can catch him doing his Elvis impersonation, it will blow you away.  It makes you wonder if anyone ever actually knew the "real" Andy Kaufman.

Eddie Murphy, Mitch Hedberg, Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, and Steven Lynch are some of my personal favorites when it comes to comedians. However, Bill Cosby's "Himself" is my favorite routine of all time.

dane cook was funny early in his career, but now that he does movies i find him kinda annoying.

I agree about the Dane Cook comment.

For some reason, I just don't find females to be good stand up comics.  I really hate it when they go for the shock factor with a dirty mouth.  That's just annoying.  Sorry ladies, but this is one of the instances where it's ok for guys to curse and females shouldn't....i.e. Sarah Silverman.  I can't stand that b*tch. ha

Some of my favorites are David Cross, Lewis Black, Eddie Izzard, Mitch Hedburg and Stephen Wright (practically the same comic), Demetri Martin and George Carlin. 

I never thought Dane Cook was funny though.
