Across the universe is a great movie and the soundtrck did not wreck the original beatles flavour

ahhhh i love both of them.....

it was cool to listen to the beatles in a fresh new way.

johnny depp cant sing. but that's okay...his awesome acting skills make up for it.

I have a friend that didnt like Across the Universe because she thought it would replace the Beatles with the newer generation, but the thing is, the songs are so different from the originals. Some of the tracks cant even compare. I loved the new way the music was presented. It just shows how versitile their music still is.

As for Sweeney, I have to admit, I still love the stage version. But Helena Bonham Carter is amazing, and visually the movie was amazing.

Bonham Carter was definitely great; she was my favorite character. I just bought the soundtrack yesterday and have yet to put it on my zune. As for Across the Universe, the filn was great and captivating; however, I'm not sure about the music... I just haven't acquired the taste for classy music like the Beatles. :S

Buy it. If you like the movie and musicals in general, then you'll love the soundtrack.

In my opinion I loved them both...it's hard to choose

when I saw them both for the 1st time I became obsessed

like Across the Universe,when I saw it in theaters...my friends had to forse me to go and see it. I remember saying  "i don't like..." looking for a reason "...the name" but at the end I was on the edge of my seat like crying saying "why is Lucy walking away can't she heard him singing!"

then when i saw Sweeney Todd I was in love...i love the songs and the charaters! In the end I was like  "No! it's lucy how could you"

haha both have the name Lucy

I know there are people saying "Johnny Depp is the worst singer ever"

he's not the best or the worst...he did a great job...i think...

I love his voice. It gave Sweeny some hollywood character. He really wasn't as bad as I thought he was going to be. A nice little surprise

I've never actually seen Across The Universe (I'm gonna have a look at it next time I'm out) but I've got Sweeney Todd on DVD and on my Zune, I've got the Soundtrack and I'm always watching or listening to it, its just amazing. I wish it had been out on HDDVD before it tanked, I'd love it in HD, guess i'll have to wait and get a Blu-Ray player, or wait and see if it comes out on XBL
