New Music List - A Must
Every Tuesday morning I sign into the Marketplace to get my dose of new music.
But finding these songs is currently a problem, why? Because there is no comprehensive list of new additions to the Marketplace.

You guys have this [New & Necessary], but by God, it is lacking. Also, what is necessary? And by who's standards?
Usher's new single came out today, and how did I find that out? (iTunes had it under New Music)... I had to type in Usher's name (in the terrible search area) to find it in the Marketplace; not acceptable.

So to recap, please create an area that tells us of the new additions, you can even split it up into Genres if you wish, (like the old Marketpalce)...

re: New Music List - A Must
Not only that, I was ready to start spending on the marketplace, but I couldn't find some of the newest releases from the last week. I was under the assumption that if new music does come out it would be added to the market place at least in the same week. Sadly this wasn't the case so I went down to the store to grab it. I think until I have the ease of not having to go down to the record store to get my new music on release day, I probably won't have a need for the marketplace.

Me too. I'm throwing my name on this list. The small selection of "New &Necessary" just doesn't cover it.

Good feedback.  Have you guys used the iTunes Music Store?  Rhapsody or other digital stores?  What do you think about how they handle new and music/upcoming releases?

New music list is needed. The old Zune software had something like that. Man I miss it. The old software I think worked smoother and was a little simpler to move around. Prob. the only one that thinks that however. Stick out tongue [:P]

re: New Music List - A Must
In answer to the question about other online places like itunes I haven't used them. The way the new and nessesary is set up isn't bad, just not that freindly, compared to the place we physically walk into to get our music fix,  It's crazy to think that getting up to go to the store searching ALL the new relases coming back then burning the CD to your Zune is easier than searching for something you don't know that your're looking for. I think what we all were trying to get at was that online music vendors are not your competition as much as you might think. So maybe use a record store as your model rather than an online music database. The reality is If we wanted to find a specific album or song there are a variety of ways to do so without using the marketplace. What's really missing for us is the whole antticipation you get from knowing that new music is coming out, I may not know what it is but it will be there waiting for me on that shelf if I find it. Also the whole (this album) comes out Tuesday as soon as it comes out I'm listening to it beggining to end. Allot of us who purchased or were gifted  Zunes was because of the whole Social Music aspect. Sharing NEW music, or something you might not get to hear otherwise.

How about a new music subscription or podcast, that way it would just load automatically.

I agree with this, I always look for new releases but there are none....it seems like this should be an easy update but it takes microsoft too long to approve the marketplace!

An upcoming list isnt crucial but it would be a nice improvement..the new list is crucial

and on this topic we need to improve the search area..i like how before as i was typing a word a list of suggested people
