re: Fav Soundtrax!

As for actual scores/incidental music (music written for the film vs. songs chosen to fit it):

Crash (the Cronenberg film) - Howard Shore

Road to Perdition - Thomas Newman (one of the best new scorers around)

Lost Highway - Angelo Badalamenti

The Order - David Torn

Nosferatu - Popul Vuh (or Florian Fricke)

Though each of these guys has done other work I admire/enjoy as well, these top the list.

"Music is for fools, the future is prisons and math" - Alan Sparhawk

Evita (the movie version), A Bronx Tale, The Five Heartbeats, Hope Floats, Mambo Kings, Selena

These are just a few of the soundtracks on my Zune. I love each of them for different reasons....but I really love Evita and the Five Heartbeats the most.  I loved both movies and the songs are just terrific.

I think there was a similer topic like this somewhere else, but I'll add my 2 cents here too. My favorite soundtrack is 10 Things I Hate About You. I love every song on there. There's a song to fit everyone of my moods. I love Letters to Cleo's remake of I Want You to Want Me. I also like The Players Club sound track. My favorite song on that album is You a hoe. Everyone I knew in Jr. High sang that song

The soundtrack for the Bob Dylan biopic "I'm Not There" is great, all covers of Dylan tunes. It's all worth it just for the amazing cover of "You Ain't Goin Nowhere" by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova.
