I like the Zune, but I have to say that the Software/Format is extremely frustrating to use.
I am an active DJ and I am moving my music around alot and the Software/Format offered
makes it difficult to search and reference material by the criteria I need.
Other than this I love it.

Wow.
That's a bit Disfunctional.
I got a Zune specifically because it wasn't an iPod.
I like to be into something new and different.
But issues like this and the frustrating software is
faded.

There is a way to change it, if you have Xbox Live. (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/gamerprofile/change.htm)

Otherwise...we don't have a way to do that today. But we're working on a few things that will help this situation in the future; a lot of people have requested the ability to change the Zunetag.

You click on settings in the top right corner and then go to the right and click on change name and then type in what you want at a User Name

yeah, someone used my email address to sign up for a microsoft service (xbox live, i think), and now everything i try to sign up for (zune social is the most recent development) has his screen name, unchangeable. it'd be nice if i could do something about that, right? i'd follow the instructions above about changing settings, but for "some reason", i can't seem to log into the zune software, even though i changed the password on the website... rar :)

Well there is a way to change your zunes name wether you choose to do this is up to you i have done it several times in the past how you do it is save all your music on your hard drive now you delete the zune program completely off your computer then and the zune program back and viola you can now change the name but make sure your using your email account it can be the same as before or you can set up a new on for this purpose only so feel free to change zune's name

i did this this afternoon for a friend aswell so you can do it good luck have fun

Yeah, I wanted to change my username too.  I didn't want to spend $400 on an Xbox to do it though and have it break a month later.

You can change your Zune's name easily; you can't change your Zunetag (username).

i still have the original zune 30 gig but when i get my new custom zune 80 gig im going to have to use another name?

No - I use the same Zunetag (Jetherealz) for two Zunes. The Zunes themselves have different names, but I don't think they have to either.
