How does the TV Out thing work

In saw the option in settings and when I clicked on it nothing happened.  I'm guessing thats cause there is some way to connect the Zune to a TV for video output.  Does anyone know what kind of cable you need for this?  It's kind of pointless, but I was just wondering if anyone has tried this feature at all.

I use this feature all the time when I go to hotels for work.  I hook up my zune and use the TV for speakers (usually have great sound quality from the big flat panels in the rooms).  Anyhow, just get the ipod video cord from Walmart (has 1/8 " jack at one end and a yellow, red and white male RCA on other end I think) and plug it into a TV and your set.  Go to Display and it will tell you what to do...

im getting audio but no video, maybe I dont have the right cord it was just one laying around the house with RCA on one end and 1/8 at the other are there different kinds of chords like this?

With a regular rca cable you need to mix the colors.  I am not sure which pattern is correct , but it is not yellow to yellow, red to red, white to white.  You need a special cable made for devices like the zune.  It really is a neat feature.  I connect to my bose system on my tv and it shows the album are and song progress.  Great for parties.

no you dont, any av out wire will work, even one froma  camcorder, you just have to change the wires around (ex. plug the yellow into red, or w/e)

*do note that if you have a av cable from something in the top row, you would actually have to change the ground, however, the standard av cables you find in the isle near the camcorders or cameras *should* work just fine, just move the wires around....
if you have the icrap av cable just plug your red into the white on your tv, and white into red, since the audio is backwords =\

I tried the cable came with my camera, and it worked fine.
I pluged the yellow into red, the red into yellow, and the white into white, I think.

nope not working for me, maybe they stopped the ability to use normal rca with new update, will find out when official one arrives in the next week
