Wireless Sync - Troubleshooting if device times out on the “looking for network” screen

This means you device is unable to connect/find the specified wireless router

--things to try--

-Get right next to you router and try again

-Plug device into PC and re-setup wireless sync in Zune software and try again

-Reboot device (Hold back button and up) then try again

-Turn off/on the wireless in the settings menu then try again

-Reboot your wireless router and try again

-Turn off encryption on router and try again

-Try using “sync now” a few times

This means you device has found the wireless router but is unable to connect

 

--Things to try--

-Get right next to you router and try again

-Try using the “sync now” feature on the device a few times

-Plug device into PC and re-setup wireless sync in Zune software and try again

-Verify you PC is able to connect to the wireless network

-Reboot zune device (Hold back button and up) then try again

-Turn off/on the wireless in the settings menu then try again

-If MAC filtering is on for your router turn it off and try again

-Set your router is running in non mixed mode set to run in Mixed Mode and try again

Wireless Sync- Troubleshooting

This means your device has successfully found and connected to you wireless router but is having trouble connecting to you PC

--Things to try--

-Get right next to you router and try again

-Verify your PC is connected to the wireless network

-Try using the “sync now” feature on the device a few times

-Plug device into PC and re-setup wireless sync in Zune software and try again

-If using XP run netstop zunebusenumerator then netstart zunebusenumerator from a command line window

-If using Vista verify Network sharing is turned on (Go to Network in the start menu and verify the yellow “Network sharing is off” bar is not displayed)

-If you are using a firewall verify there is an exception made for the zune wireless

-Reboot device (Hold back button and up) then try again

-Turn off/on the wireless in the settings menu then try again

-Make sure another zune is not connected

-Try a different wireless router

This means your device has made a successful connection to your PC and is getting ready to start the sync process

--Things to try--

 

-Verify another device is not connected

-Verify zune software is launched

-Wait until device times out before giving up

When i did the wireless setup my pc could not conect to it.
