deleting my album art?

I want to get rid of all album art because there was a big technical dilemma that I won't go into major details with, besides that every album art that I haven't assigned something to is a picture of bathtub. So, my question is, is there a way to delete all album art? Because the only thing I see to do is change the picture to something else. Please help :(

you should probably set your Zune software to not automatically update your album information. Do this is Settings, Collection, and scroll down to the Options section. Be sure that your Zune software is up to the latest version (run a software update check from Settings, Software, General).

I'd also download and install the Zune Media Collection Reset tool. That should fix most of your mismatched album information.

re: deleting my album art?
I have noticed that if it automatically updates the album art, it then becomes a "system" file which your computer then doesn't want to allow you to delete.  This is a pretty lame ass way to handle "copy protection" on unsecured mp3.

I had to disable the zune software from automatically starting up so that I could delete the files from my harddrive. With the software active it wont let you do it.

As for deleting it from the zune itself?  I suggest getting the registry "fix" to allow you to see the device as the hard drive it really is and go in and find / delete the offending picture. Searching for "access my zune as a harddrive" should lead you to the fix.

hope that helps

This is not an attempt to add “copy protection"!  The "system" file is there to speed up the software (could you imagine the software looking up the data every time you use it?).  As for deleting it, windows will not delete a file when it is being used by a program.  This is not new!  It has been in every windows platform I have ever used.

Mine did something simillar. It would put in like a Nickelback cover for 15 of my CD covers. I took the painfully slow route and looked up the album art for about 50 CDs and changed it myself.
