Zune 30 freezing issue - [Update and Resolution]

I dont think they are kidding. Some kind of response would be nice. Mine is still not working.

let my zune die, let it sit a day... tried to do the back left ok but nope... lol it asked me for my password first and then wouldn't reset. AWESOME lol this is so frustrating its not even funny, it was at first now im just upset lol. so now im letting it charge, hopefully it'll WORK lol doubtful. I don't want another zune microsoft and i sure as hell shouldn't have to send it in, I want mine. All of this over a fricken clock.....................................................

Technically, MS didn't make the original Zune, it was a Toshiba Gigabeat, but they branded it with MS. Yes it should have been fixed and to have this many people still not able to use their Zune (I am one of them) is a bit much.

PS.. Flaunting your other product on here is in poor taste, its nice you have a product from competitor A but when you try to explain your issue you come off as a troll and less people are likely to believe you even own the product.

FYI, Apple has its own problems with their products too, no company is immune from problems. Go look at their support forums, people are getting lockups and devices just not working all the time too from firmware and software updates.

Are you kidding me MS, 116 pages and the problem still is not resolved???  In the past year I have gone through 3 Xbox 360s and now 2 Zunes.  I wont even talk about Vista.  I am sure glad to have this new cell phone!  Hopefully MS makes this right without me losing all my misic or I will never again buy a Microsft product.  I have lost too much money and time due to incompetence and laziness. 

d-day + 5 still have a zune that does work but only half a@@ed  skips during songs, slow, hard to get turned on and shuts off by itself come on microsoft make this right its be 6 days we have only gotten one response and now we are are left hanging. its kinda like they want us to go out and buy an iplod!

Did you tell your computer to forget the device?

Ok so my 30gb froze and i had no control over it whatsoever so i popped the battery and now i have no firmware...

it then tells me to plug it into my pc and run the zune software ok sure no problem...oh wait yes that is a problem now all it does is flash back and forth between steps 1 and 2 and dosnt recognise my zune in the software.

any tips on how to reinstall the firmware from scratch would be helpful thank you.

mines a 4gb and its having the same issues!!

After totally draining mine and plugging it into a wall charger it came right back on.Only problem now is that it doesnt seem to want to sync to the zune software like it did before this issue.Anyone else having this problem??

REDO It took me five times, finally the fifth time took and it asked me to connect to the PC for a firmware update.  Be sure to tell the application to forget this device and then create a brand new relationship with your Zune.  Woohoo, you're almost there.
