*Stabs in eye* It's much too sensitive and overplayed. Overall, right now it isn't working. =/

re: WANTED: Zunepad Feedback <stickied>
Have you guys seen that mac vs pc commercial where pc is counting mopney? well he puts all of Microsoft's money into advertising and mac is like, "arent you going to use some of that to fix vista problems?" i think that what they do with vista and zune. they seem to not pay attention to these forums where we discuss the issues and try to get their attention. we still have bugs that were here since the launch of zune. so yes they do need to improve ALOT of things including the zune pad along with other features. So MIcrosoft if you are reading pay attention. pay for other things than advertisement!!

re: WANTED: Zunepad Feedback <stickied>

Touch pad seems to over do it sometimes.... I wiz past the items  in a list frequently.  Also the pad is horrible for selecting an item... sometimes it goes up/down instead of being easy to hit the center of it to select.

ON that note, the new 3.0 fimware has impaired my back button.  As soon as the update happened, it started locking up.  It freezes for a second while it figures out that I want to go back.  Also seems that I can hit the back button hard/soft/rapidly and then suddenly the stupid zune goes back.  Really seems like that software is gliching it.  Sucks when I'm trying to change albums when at a stop light, and the stupid back button doesn't work right away. :(

FIX IT!!!!

re: WANTED: Zunepad Feedback <stickied>
maybe one day theyll just make the whole zune a touch screen that way e wont have any of those problems. if others disagree with the touch screen they will probably keep the others but improve them like they did like a month ago and hopefully when and if they do they will poay attention to ALL of the problems and not just some. If i knew they were doing that id say it was orth the wait. Maybe ppl might even camp out of stores like they did the iphone (idiots)

re: WANTED: Zunepad Feedback <stickied>
I just got off of work so I had about 6 hours of free time to play with my new 8g.  honestly the horizontal axis response is almost non-existant.  I was able to scroll over maybe two menus but then it would just stop.  Usually it'd just scroll down.

so yea, here's my suggestions

improve control over both axis
include adjustable sensitivity
allow tap for selecting

re: WANTED: Zunepad Feedback <stickied>

initial reaction:

at first I was trying to use it like my laptop mousepad.  obviously it's not as accurate or as sensitive but the general effect was expected.

how did you learn about ZunePad?

I saw it advertised when the zune 4g/8g were released.  I've owned a 30gb since I first saw it.

difficulties using?

no, I was expecting a touchpad method for selecting but pressing is just fine. except now when I use my 30g I try to just swipe the pad to scroll!

how long to discover?

assuming I've found it all, about 1 minute.

how long to be confortable?

roughly the same, 1 minute.  I use the touchpad on my laptop most of the time so it's second nature.

incorrect or missed clicks?

so far, no.

does it respond well?

yes, I'm very glad it's not overly sensitive like I was expecting it to be. side scrolling seems a little sluggish however.

ever get a response along the wrong axis?

no, I generally only scroll up and down while pushing to move left/right

consistent?

yes

do you use one or two hands?

one.  Usually right hand.

what part of hand?

the large bottom portion of my thumb (pad of finger.) I've got large hands, like size 15 ring on my thumb large, but it hasn't caused a problem.
