Let the battery drain, recharge and it should be fine.

It was a programming/hardware oversight. Leap year threw the old but obviously still widely used and still working 1st Generation 30gig Zunes into a 24-hour coma.

ok now that our zunes are alive now....thank god...what went wrong with them??? im sure the answer is somewhere but im jst too lazy so XD

Correct. At least that's how mine looked this morning when I recharged them and they came back.

right then, im going to try chargeing it again now. wish me luck.

Correct. At least that's how mine looked this morning when I recharged them and they came back.

I'm sure that there are others who may offer better suggestions, but I have the following 2:
1) Have you tried a soft reset? (Push the <BACK> button while pushing <UP> on the wheel?
2) Did you drain it, then recharge to bring it back? Not sure if this is mandatory or not, but it seems to matter based on what I've read.

I'm up and running, but when the Zune software launches, it shows 0.0MB of music, even though all the albums show up as being on there, and album art & pictures don't display.

Any thoughts?
