re: Like/Dislikes: Zune team seeking feedback!
1) Just started Zune Pass, far superior to Amazon MP3 or some other non-DRM legit way to obtain music. Only thing is I wish I could see my (aka non-DRM/non-Zune Pass) music so I can sort out what I can and cannot burn to CD or copy of my free volition.
==> Maybe a column that appears to the right of the synced-to-my-Zune column?

2) This is more an error reporting, because I don't know where to officially report Zune feedback (aside from here), but in Win7 RC the Zune (x64) won't go to full screen when initially selected, I must ALT+TAB or WIN+TAB cycle back to it for it to engage. Just FYI.

Aside from those comments, I love Zune software/hardware, keep up the innovative and great work!

re: Like/Dislikes: Zune team seeking feedback!

It does seem to make sense but in reality its much more complicated than that.  Though MS may own Halo it certainly does not mean they on the music associated with it.

If you have ever heard a bunch of songs during a movie and wanted to get the soundtrack only to find out that the songs you got were totally different from what was in the movie; its because of some stupid rights dispute between the film makers and the person or persons that have the rights to the music.

I would suggest you look for the credits to the songs on the packaging for Halo or somewhere on the web and see if you can find the artist locate the song somewhere else.

re: Like/Dislikes: Zune team seeking feedback!

Okay lets start with my likes:

1) I love Zune Pass and the automatic update of your playlists. All I have to do is synch and go always fresh new music.

2) The touch pad is awesome, it would work so well on my laptop.

Now my dislikes:

1) Okay, seriously, the Zune is capable of so much more, why not open the system a bit by developing an SDK for program development (not xna games)

2) The ability to transfer your Zune account to a new email address (transfering all of your information to a new aacount, you can do it with your XBOX Live account)

3) Allow synchronization with Windows Media Player

4) I know for sure you need a better Marketplace library when it comes to movies. Your library pales in comparison to XBOX LIVE, why is that?

5) I would love to use as a Pocket PC, it has SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo much potential.

I'm loving my HD32, such a huge step up from my 8GB (sadly lost it on the train :-( )
Only a few things I WISH (though not sure if it will ever be implemented...and probably stated several 1000 times already):

- more video codec support - you got Divx and Xvid on the 360, how about on the Zune?  (mkv files too?)
- User generated channels maybe?
- Wifi through the HD Sync Dock? streaming music to a Home Theater and having the sweet sweet visualization play on the TV would be...sweet.
- Speed up syncing of video and channels?

some other stuff I can't think of at the moment, but I'm sure to hit up the forums when I do, thanks guys for a great product!  Keep it going with the updates in the software/firmware!

you can do the home theater/tv thing. hook the zune up to your tv through hdmi, then put the audio out through the digital coaxial cable.

Great job on the ZuneHD.

My biggest gripe is that I hate what's involved to FF/RWD/Pause my music.  I have to hit the media button first (which is in a REALLY inconvenient position)  Then tap the function I want.    Whereas on my 120, all I had to do was use the squircle and tap left/right or hit the pause button.

Also, is there a way to keep the device from going to sleep? My complaint above would be moot if I didn't have to hit that 'media' button to basically wake up the device.
I've found a different way...it might be more convenient for you.  while playing a track, tap the screen just to the right of the album cover, and the play controls will pop up (this works for podcasts, too.)  If your screen has gone to the screen saver mode, you'll have to tap once to get back to the screen with the album cover...and then tap...etc.
I don't know how to keep it awake...yet, anyway.

Repeat one is there, just tap the repeat button on the song you want to repeat.

This isn't so much the marketplace its perfect. I would just like to be able to choose/customize from a plain white or black background or even a photo/wallpaper I love. Otherwise its fine the way it is.

PS. Better Quality on the Trailers in the movie section. Let me be able choose from SD or HD trailers.

I think the Zune team shoud add more shows from abc family and disney the popular channels. You could also had movies like Hannah montana. Princess protection program. The movies should be from popular stars so teens will want to watch them more.
