re: Zune 80 availability = Zero
I picked my zune up at a walmart in Dallas without issue.  They had about 6 left when I got it.  I went down to Brownsville,TX for the holidays, however, and no store within 100 miles had one (My screen was misbehaving and I was thinking of returning it).  They're scarce but well worth it!

re: Zune 80 availability = Zero
I found my Zune 80 on my first attempt lol! I called a local Circuit City and they had three left, but when I went to pick mine up (which was on hold) it was the only one that they had left. This can't be as bad as trying to find a Wii....

Why are you shopping at Wal-Mart?

Just order from Amazon.com.  Problem solved.

re: Zune 80 availability = Zero

Try a few things before attempting to install again.  I don't know if this will work but it has worked for me whenever I encounter a strange problem that seems to have no clear answer.  If anything it will leave your PC running better than it did before.

First go to Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs and uninstall as much of Zune Marketplace as you can.

Next, go to http://www.regcure.com/ install the program and allow it to run and clean up your registry.

Once thats complete, return to Control Panel click Performance & Maintenance and run disk clean up along with Defrag.

Once thats complete try installing the Zune software again.

Good Luck

re: Zune 80 availability = Zero

I've been trying for riggin days to install the software on my Vista Home Premium laptop, with ZERO success. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with tech support. I have yet to enjoy this 80GB system. $249 of wasted time so far. I can't get past this installation error:

INSTALLATION FAILED

Setup must stop because the required package 'Zune' failed to install.

DIFXAPP: Rollback failed with error 0x2

Error Code: 0x80070643

"BOGUS MICROSOFT SUPPORT LINK HERE"

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MICROSOFT, FIX THIS CRAP!!!

I've tried the crappy support links and found ZERO solutions that actually help me.

re: Zune 80 availability = Zero
I walked into Best Buy on Sunday, and they'd just received six Zune 80's in stock.  I walked out with one (I paid for it, of course).  Seems like they're easier to find now...

When picking up a few things in a local Target, I shuffled on over to the MP3 players to check things out. Saw a lone Zune 80 sitting in the case, but I talked myself out of buying it.

It took every fiber of my being while driving out of the parking lot, to not turn around go back into the store and buy it.

Best Buys all across the country started receiving 80GB units in store yesterday.  I saw them in at least 3 Best Buys here in St. Louis today.

Wow you seem to have a pretty big collection.  I have almost 400 CDs but actually only have about 2700 tracks on my Z80.  But I'm sure I'll find a way to get more music on this thing.
