Any other frozen 30gb Zunes?

I would recommend that you do not do this and wait for MS to issue a statement as to root cause an resolution.

I'm having the exact same issue. This is the first time my Zune(the original 30g) has EVER given me an issue. I want to know what's going on and why it's doing this now. What's Microsoft up to?

i, too, have the same exact issue. this is very odd indeed. although i do admit, i'm a bit relieved that so many others have the same problem. this should force microsoft to act quickly......SHOULD.

I can't believe how little slack MS is getting for this.  I mean - there is a HUGE Zune issue here.  Mine is also frozen.  It's clear that it's hitting ALL 30 gig Zunes.  I know they didn't sell *that* many, but it's a HUGE deal.  They probably found out about it maybe an hour or two ago.  Do you REALLY think they're going to figure out the issue, create a fix, and deploy it in 3 hours?  What the heck people? 

Having said that, this should be a priority 0 drop-everything-and-fix-it issue.  I expect to see a formal statement by noon and a fix within 48 hours.  I'll be waiting for it.  It doesn't make them look good, but other than the gadget blog and zune forum members, who do you think can fix mp3 player firmware within half an hour?

I'm hoping that the resolution doesn't involve going and downloading something for it. Because my computer already won't use the zune software(I've spent 9 hours with my previous Zune 30 trying to get stuff onto it, decided to stop calling after they lead me to messing up my printer and all usb ports). I think I'm out of warranty to, but if it's a massive problem they should extend the warranty.

jeez!! come on MS.  I'm sitting here waiting for it to die, no other choice.  its bricked. no buttons to reset work, and i'm not about to plug it back in to a PC w/any zune software on it until they fix the issue.

Woke this morning and found my Zune frozen.  It's bizarre this is happening to this many 30gb Zunes at once.

My Zune is also dead, and now I"m going to be waiting semi-patiently for a fix. I just hope people don't jump off the handle too quickly. This is the first error I've had with my Zune or Zune software since I got my Zune back in July 2007. Let's just hope that they have plenty of people who can fix it, way too many people on vacation.

Must be thousands of us 30gb Zune owners with the same problem.
