Mine is still frozen also. Anyone want to start a class action lawsuit? Microsoft needs to held accountable for this issue. What would happen to Ford if all F-150's quit working tomorrow? Answer: They would recall them and fix the issue (even the ones that are no longer under warranty)... This is the same situation here!
Question: Have you followed all of the directions listed at the support section of this Zune website? They're still up there, last I checked. You're supposed to completely drain your battery and then reconnect your zune to you computer. If that doesn't work, I'd call up Tech Support.
Class Action Lawsuit: Short answer: No.
Long answer: No.
First of all A) The difference between your Zune and your F-150 is that the F-150 is a vehicle and not a portable media device. You need your vehicle to get from point A to point B. You do not need your portable media device to get from Point A to point B. A Ford F-150 also costs a LOT more than a portable media device.
Second of all B).
Not to assume that you haven't followed directions to correct the issue properly, but if you indeed have not and also have not called tech support about this, you have no grounds for any sort of lawsuit.
Third of all C). No judge is going to be persuaded by a bunch of people going MY ZUNE WOULD NOT WORK FOR X DAYS AND THEREFORE I AM ENTITLED TO GROTESQUELY HIGH AMOUNTS OF MONEY.
Finally D). Microsoft has acknowledged this issue, has acknowledged that it was their boo-boo, has told everyone how to correct it, and says they plan to release a firmware update to prevent this from happening again. It's not like the Zune team totally left you, me, or the rest of us hanging here. If your device still does not work, it's either a user error or the device itsself is just plain defective and you need to call up tech support about this issue.
End of story.
Mine's larger.
