I've tried the update twice and I'm still unable to play downloaded or stream 98% of the music from marketplace on my Zune HD or PC.

I am having the same issue with the error code C00D12F5. I just bought my second zune and thought I would try the zune pass, but no luck. I followed the instructions to reset the DRM security component - but I am not able to upgrade. I cannot find any other solution online. any suggestions appreciated.

Yeah, no go with that solution.  I've tried it three times.  The only option I haven't tried is restoring the OS.  Not really the best solution here.  Got anything else up your sleve?

I had this error of the "can't download to this computer" because the Zune pass was being used on 3 computers, but no computers show on the device/computer screen.  I'm only using 1 computer.  I've actually seen this several times.  I seem to be able to work around the issue by not having my Zune connected/on (wireless sync) and logging in.  After that I can go into the market place and download music, then transfer to my zune.

I began experiencing this problem with not being able to download songs (with a Zune Pass).  Did the recommended procedure.  Now, not only can't I download songs, but all the content I've already downloaded won't work (gives me the same error).  The cure is worse than the disease???  Here's the error message (which, when you DO click "Web Help", returns this message:  "Unfortunately, there is no specific Web Help message for this error yet."  That's real helpful.):

"Can't verify your media usage rights. A local firewall might be blocking access to the Zune service. Check your firewall settings and restart the Zune software. If the problem persists, click Web Help. Error Code: C00D12F6"

EDIT:  When I right-click on a song in the Zune software and select "Properties", DRM shows "Yes - invalid license (has no usage rights)".  I think NOT!

I attempted under settings/purchase history to re-download the music and also tried a Restore all.  Nothing is working. I am getting the same error code about 'media usage rights' error.  I also posted this problem in the other marketplace forum, but no help yet.  Does everyone here who is having the same problem using the new version 3.1, on both your Zune device and software?  I am wondering if there is a glitch in the new version because I had to upgrade Saturday night before I went to the marketplace.

I am having the same problem but I think the error message was off by one digit - either way - the songs are showing up as being deducted from my points account but are not available for download.  I completely uninstalled my software and reinstalled it - just to make sure it was the right version.  I am working off 3.1 on both my Zune device and on my computer. 

Where else can you get help for these issues?  This is my first time trying to download songs and I am upset that I just spent $$ and have no way to receive the purchases.
