Device plays used to work fine, but suddenly stopped updating a couple weeks ago, despite no major changes to my Zune or PC. I installed Fiddler, and the software is not trying to update stats.zune.net after connecting the device. It's an unfortunate situation since I used to enjoy the Zune Social, but can't take part in it anymore.
the same happens to me, the software updates fine but my device does not :( my 80 gb used to updates now i have a 120 GB, and its properly linked to my account/software/decive and it never updated any plays :( i really want to fix that, i tried to delete de zunestore hidden file and rebuilt the librairy, format the zune etc nothing seems to fix it....
Device plays are not updating for me either. I changed the regional settings on my pc to US. After unlinking and relinking my zune tag, I now have the zune marketplace available on the zune, but plays from the device are still not updating. I'm going trough my collection for unsupported characters. Anyone knows what characters are not supported?

If it says "Your device is linked to Zune Tag <whatever>", click "remove link." Otherwise, check the radio button for "Link my Zune to a Zune Tag" You can choose whether or not to enable Marketplace purchases, that's not relevant here. (The checkbox below) Click "Next" at the bottom. Sign in and hit "confirm." You should now see "Your Zune is now linked to <tag name>." Unplug your device, play some music on it. Then plug your device back in and sync. Post here whether this worked to upload device plays.
