Yeah, mine was stuck at 0 forever, then jumped to 26.. and has since stuck there. I'm guessing it'll update faster and faster as the kinks get worked out. Ditto for the "top listeners" on the artist webpages.

That's probably the slowness issue that estimated1 mentioned above.    The totals are updating, but not all at once, and not promptly.     Plays from the device should show up just the same as plays from the pc.

Wow, mine went from being at 17 for a few days to 55! I wonder if playing music from the pc as opposed to the Zune player makes a difference? Anyway, still having fun with all this!

"Show only to friends"

to "show to everybody"?

I'm signed in and zmp will sign in automatically.  I have automatic updates to media information and album art on.  My play count has been on the same number for about 2 days now although my recently played list changes appropriately.

First of all, we're not going anywhere.  So don't worry about that :)   

A few more things/questions for you guys to try:

1) Do you have the zune software set to 'automatically update my album art'?

2) Are you signed in with the zune software?  Are you set to automatically sign-in?

Also, we have a known issue where our 'aggregation' of total playcounts is running a bit behind.  We're working on this, so your play count totals may take awhile to update.

I've noticed that the "total plays" doesn't update often and the "Recently Played" does it better, but not quite so fast.  I know it's supposed to be 15 minutes or so, but I'm spoiled by Audioscrobbler updating almost instantly ;)

I've also noticed that stuff not recognized by the Zune Marketplace (?) won't show up on the Recently Played, either.  I listened to all of Radiohead's "In Rainbows", but it doesn't play in there at all.

on mine it show my plays where you edit you zune card and such but it showes a different number on my zune card i have around 500 plays acording to most played stuff but on my zune card it says something like 7 plays lol
 
other than that it has been pretty good, keep it up zune team!!
