Honestly, I don't think the EQ is absolutely necessary, but it's still nice to have. Most of my music already sounds good, so I didn't use it much at all.

I'll sign anyway since it should be a hardware feature.

I will not upgrade my zune 30, if the new zunes will continue to not have EQ.

Same here I'll be stuck with my zune 30 for 3 years now if the ZuneHD does not have an EQ.

Even if Microsoft can't add a EQ to the current like of Zune 2 products, they better take not of this thread and include a hardware EQ in the ZuneHD.

I'd love a Zune EQ but dude, c'mon, just cuz a device doesn't have everything doesn't make it useless. Chill out man. It's an MP3/WMA player.

As a music player not having an EQ really limits it's usefulness as a serious and flexible music player. I have stuck by my zune30 just for that fact. If MS wants my money there are going to have to add an EQ and a high capacity player to at least one Zune model. I upgraded the hard drive in  my zone30 to 100 GB rather than give up the flexibility and sound I preferred with the 1st gen zune's EQ presets.

It's not that the zune needs to have EVERYTHING but basic features like tone controls should not be neglected.
