My Zune's been freezing a lot too. I'm somewhat glad to see it's not just me. Anyway, I tried the test in the 1st post and it froze on cue. I hope they fix this soon.

Oh man, I discovered this annoying bug last night, as I was doing some playlist mixing for some friends.

If, in the last, say, 10 seconds, you want to change songs, BAM, epic fail.

This almost *certainly* has to be related to gapless playback, no? I know gapless existed before 2.5, but I'm thinking that the way gapless has to work is that the player queues the song into memory, since even a high-speed spin up and locate would cause a small gap. My gapless works perfectly, and this has to be because it's caching the next song in the final ten seconds...

Definitely a pain in the ass, but something that should be easily targetable and fixable, since it's VERY reproducible.

Otherwise, I'm *loving* my Zune. This was the first crash I've experienced. (And it did recover once on its own, after about 30 seconds.)

My zune 30's been freezing a lot lately after the 3.0 update.  I keep having to restart my zune, and it's starting to get really annoying.  I've even tried removing and re-installing the firmware, but it still freezes.

Same here. Often times the song will stop playing midway through, stay on a black screen for a minute then have to be rebooted, not to mention the Last 10 Second Switch Bug

Yeah, I'm having trouble too. Every few times I try to choose a song, my Zune freezes, no matter where I was in the last song. I hope they fix it soon. :(

Yes I have experienced freezing, I thought it was just my zune, now I know it's the 3.0 bugs

Yeah this is really lame, I should be able to count on being able to select new songs without the player freezing. I'm not at home most of the day, and for it to freeze on your way to school and have it be dead all day is l-a-m-e

Yesa, its pissing me off this stupid freezing. I sorta got rid of my red zune (the freakin last one since its discontinued T_T) cause I thought it was a problem with it (which there really was cause it was missing features that are in my new one, it didnt have a clock and some stuff on the red). It had worked perfectly fine before the update, I regret getting rid of it, I like the red even with its minor problems. I got this new one and updated it (I didn tknow it was the update that's the problem until now) and now the new ones screwed up to. FIX THIS PROBLEM ALREADY ZUNE TEAM!
