I've been having this problem over a month...My Zune won't sync to my PC..I tried everything online..My sync cable works because when my Zune is completely dead it charges it back to red then it won't charge after that..my PC won't recognize my zune at all..I had my USB checked they are fine...I think it is my Zune...but I can't sync it to my system yo troubleshoot it..I desperatly need new songs on it..Someone HELP!!!lol

This is frustrating. Reading everyone's comments I wonder if there is a problem with the update on the firmware. I just got home and went to charge my battery when now I have a blank screen. It connected to the pc.. I waited a few minutes and it showed no device and now it will not connect at all. I can tell that it is on because of the backlight but nothing.

 

I am calling tech support so wish me luck !!

well all of this stuff isn't working! i rebooted it. initialized the disk cleared everyhing! forgot the device! changed the conversion settings! EVERYTHING YOU GUYS SAID! but when i go to sync it again...the software says it's unable to read the device in mid sync please reboot the device and reconnect. Then the zune itself is frozen on the connected screen. By now i have lost half of the stuff i had on it...i just want it to work again...i had it for half a year now i've fallen in love with my red 80... i need it to work again T__T

I have been having terrible luck with my Zune's over the past two years...with my previous 30 gig, the machine froze so i restarted it and when it rebooted all of my music had been erased, which enraged me very much. So i went and returned it and got a new 80 gig, which happen to freeze on me scrolling backwards through songs yet again, and to my surprise after i restarted it, i found all my music had been erased! Please help me!

hi!..ive tried rebotting or reformatting and it just wont do anything what can i do?...the screen its just black. and it wont do anything!...ugh!

I had the same problem. Nothing would make the Zune activate.  I contacted support.  I ended up having to send the unit to Microsoft's Texas unit. They sent me another Zune as a replacement.  Total time was close to four weeks.

i had a question about my 80g zune i dont know why my zune isnt charging anymore ive tried charging it on my car charger,  computer, and wall outlet, and nothing ive tried moving the lock button back and forth nothing i was wondering if it would help to reboot it i couldnt do it right now since its in my truck and its late and cold out, and im lazy but was wondering if a reboot will work and if theres anything i can try without losing all my songs n videos. thanks for hearing me out . ill let you all know if this works and maybe it is in sleep mode but as soon as i try tomorrow ill keep you all posted.

my zune is stuck at the updating screen from where i tried to update it to the new 3.0 version. What should I do?
