yeah, i did that before you mentioned it. It's probably either frozen, or it's trying really hard to boot or something.

Mine is warm and theres a constant buzzing sound. Why it would be the hard drive is beyond me, and all of them at once? Anyone else smell fish?

I have a 1st gen 30gig black zune and mine is experiencing the same thing as everyone else. This better get fixed or there are going to be very many angry people. I was so stoked to hear my newly synched content as well :'(

I guess I'll join the rest of you 30G owners as say mine is frozen too! This very strange and very disturbing also. If this happens to all 30G Zunes then MS has a major problem, not to mention some truly pissed off people. Hopefully, they react quickly (very doubtful now, as they are all probably off for New Years) and get it solved. I don't think I should have to start disassembling my Zune in order to fix it. If that's what needs to be done, then I will be sending a bill to MS! Wink [;)]

everyones is doing the same thing. Mine is buzzing too.  Have you ever listened to it before? there's a little disc dude in there and he's pissed.  If you wanna crack it open, be my guest.

I'm having the exact same problem myself! In fact this is like the second or third Zune related problem I've had this week! Somebody in Microsoft better have a bloody good explanation for all this because this is getting ridiculous. Given how much we shell out for these things proper functioning is not an unreasonable expectation.

I think it had more to do with the Device's internal clock and some improper configuration. Oh well. I can see it now...
