80GB freezes (occasionally) on play.

I have been having the same problems, but now my Zune has randomly shut off and will not turn back on no matter what I do.  Any suggestions!?

Mine did that and I had to send it in.  Time to go to the support page.

did you ever get your Zune to do a full system reset?  Mine is doing the same thing and it's very frustrating.  I can sit and hold all 3 buttons for 5 minutes and the "please wait" never shows up on the screen. BLAT!

Pissed as hell! I've only had my zune for 5 months and its doing the exact same thing..I was excited about having the time finally posted and games to play...yet it began to freeze..I sent my zune to get repaired...2 weeks later I recieve a brand spankin new one..I reload the new software onto my brand new one only for it to do the same thing...FREEZE!!! thanks alot for trying to fix the problem by thinking you all can just give me a brand new one..lazy asses! Zune needs to fix this problem and FAST! its annoying..and to make matters worse now...all I can do is listen to the radio..yet when I try to play a song..not only does it freeze...theres no sound what so ever that comes through the headphones..same goes for videos I try and play...yet listening to the radio is completely fine..WTF! what ah waste of almost 200 bucks

The grass isn't any greener on the other side.

Apple has purposely released updates to brick their own devices before.

At least this one is a bug that's being worked on to be fixed.



Also if anyone thinks I'm joking they should research the iPod Touch and iPhone fiascos with the firmware updates.

Confirmed this is happening with my Zune 30 as of this morning.

It's been crashing sporadically over the past few weeks, but always reboots. When I went to use it this morning, it froze on the reboot screen. The progress bar is all the way full, and using the soft reset doesn't work (hold back and up on d-pad). My PC does not recognize the Zune device in this state - so I'm not sure how I can apply a patch. I tried letting the battery die, but when I connect the USB, I get the frozen reboot screen again.

I hope this can be fixed!
