re: Any one who hates the new software say something about it
I love the new software, but the downside about it is that its hard to understand rightaway. It takes time to understand all of the menus, but once that happends its really smart and easy. I don't have any problems with any of the Microsoft software, but i do think they should release updates a little more often.

re: Any one who hates the new software say something about it
I'm going to have to agree with the majority of the users on this thread. The new software is very disappointing...

It's not often that a program is updated to remove key features, but this seems to be one of those cases.

The previous version of the Zune software allowed for much easier creation and maintenance of playlists. The new version does not allow for side-by-side library to playlist creation/maintenance; it will not let us organize a playlist by album, artists, or even song title; if a playlist happens to be too large to fit on the zune, it will sync a few songs and then stop, while the original software would continue syncing until it ran out of space. I have only had this new software for a few hours and I'm already finding myself yearning for the classic Zune. You would do well to make a rollback available for your many disgruntled users, at least until an update is created that addresses our many concerns.

Many people choose Microsoft over Apple for the reason that Microsoft doesn't restrict options from its users. The new version of Zune seems to be taking a bit too many pages out of Apple's book for its own good.

Keep this in mind for future products and updates: If you have to tell us how to do something, you're not doing it right.

On a positive note, I do enjoy the new visual features of both the PC software and Zune firmware.

I was so looking forward to the update and now I couldnt be more disappointed. For the past 2 weeks I have been organizing  / correcting / identifying my tracks with the old zune software and now POOF all gone. I hate it!

My Library is totally screwed up and I even tried fixing it using various methods found on this message board.  Also, I have a v1 and my headphones right earpiece stopped working...I think it is a bad connection somewhere.  Anyone else having problem with their headphones?  I would ask if anyone is having problems with their libraries but I already know the answer to that ones.  Note to Microsoft: Just rip off iTunes!!!!

I definetly hate the new software. I just spent a few hours trying to figure out some error due to troubles with the software installation. Now I wish I would just have left things the way they were.

Argh I wish it wasn't an autodownload!

I hate it.  The new rating system is either Like, Don't Like, or Didn't Rate.  I actually have different levels of ratings, which covered all the different amount of stars.

And now I gotta make playlists with drag and drop.  And even after that, I can't alphabitize the playlists.

Change it back!  I'm looking for an email address so I can contact Micro$oft directly about this.

On my XP machine it works fine but is alittle annoying but on Vista it causes the blue screen of death everytime I try to open the program.

I HATE that I cannot easily right click and Get Album Info or Edit Track Info.  Add those two things back in as well as Auto Playlists and the ability to delete something from your collection WITHOUT it also then deleting it from Zune and I will be happy.  Sadly the old software could do all of these things.  Feels like I downgraded.

Please Zune team, we are not happy.

It's alright, nothing has annoyed me so far, and it looks slick.

re: Any one who hates the new software say something about it
Honestly I was so excited yesterday to wake up and check out the new update, and then I got this. I absolutely HATE it. It destroyed my library I have spent countless hours editing and perfecting. What happened to the ablility to highlight multiple songs and edit them all at once? Why can't I paste album art anymore? Why does it randomely split up albums and throw them werever it feels like? I haven't been able to check out the wireless sync because I dont want to put the horrible mess of a library i have right now on it. Where are the autoplaylists? I love them!

I told all my friends to check out the new Zunes and now I'm going to feel like a jerk if anyone buys one and has to put up with this peice of junk media player.

To me this update was a horrible downgrade in disguise.

This is ridiculous you get so excited about something then get crushed. MS really is trying to stab themselves in the foot with a really big knife. They want people to buy a zune and a 360 then you can listen to your jumbled up 30gig zune shuffle on a machine that has a red ring. This needs to be fixed immediatly I can't go on listening to ozzy but thinking he looks like celine dion on her album called and justice for all. hint hint!!!!

I personally despise the new software. I loved the look of the old system as well as the functionality. This is alien to me and I hate it...The only reason I'll EVER turn it on is to add new music to my Zune. Looks like I'm moving to WinAmp.
