Good job M$. This is a good way to treat all of us anti apple people, by making us consider buying ipods. Keep up the good job. I know your people are reading these forums. Do something about these damn glitches or else I'm gone. Enough is enough.

Getting the same error here. Just got the Zune today, and it worked for about an hour, then my wife tried to show me Audible, and it stopped working after that - I assume she screwed it up, and she was really sorry. But after uninstalling, reinstalling, and installing on a different computer and getting the exact same message, I concluded that it was a server issue, not my personal license. Needless to say, I had to apologize to her. I should note that apparently streaming music directly to the Zune via Zune Pass seems to be working, which is cool - at least I have something to do with my Zune! I can also listen to Zune Pass music on my Zune that I had already transfered. Does this happen often? It's incredibly frustrating - mostly because I assume *I* did something wrong, and spent over an hour fiddling around.

unlike other people, i can still play downloaded music, just can't download more.

I think it's only the people who reset their DRM engine that lost their ability to play Pass content they had already downloaded.

This has to be on their end, as it happened to me MID SYNC.  I plugged in a brand-new Zune 80 and it started doing it's thing, and then it started making a list of "NOT ADDED", with just random Pass songs on it.  Some songs one one album were okay, and the rest were fubar, so it can't be my fault.

Ok to all who have been following my posts. After a horrible 1:15 min phone call with Mircrosoft Zune support I have officially gotten nowhere with anything. I tried numerous fixes, with no success. I told the Zune tech numerous times that it was a authentication error, and that they need to get their server technicians to look at the servers for errors. I'm not sure whats going to happen right now, I guess we are here to play the waiting game. I apologize I couldn't get anywhere with them. I will be up for a while longer so hopefully we can get this fixed sometime soon.

well, I've had a zune for almost 2 years now,
and the zune pass for a good chunk of that time, and this is the first real problem i've ever experienced with it.
things happen, everyone that's freakin out on microsoft and threatening to buy an ipod...chil out lol

Not your fault friend.  Thanks for fighting the good fight.

I'm about to call and have a go at it.  Maybe the fact that I'm a manager at a place that sells these things will help me climb the support ladder to someone who actually cares.  How can they expect me to sell these things to my customers if I can't even get it to work for myself?  I've been recommending these things hand over fist, too.  Now I feel like a tool for sending people home with Zunes and Pass cards, for them to get hit in the face with this mess.

sorry? for what lol, unlike everyone else you at least made an attempt to find out what's goin on.
i called as well, but was on hold for bout 30 minutes and got bored haha.
I'll just go to sleep, and hope the problem is fixed by the time i get home from school tomorrow lol

Hey All!

I've been searching around for answers on this error I started getting tonight and after reading someone else say, "It can't all be coincidence we're all getting this at the same time", I read the times of posts to realize everyone is getting this right now.

Chalk me up to another person getting it, and on-hold for a T/S agent.

...and just think... all this right before a bunch of people will be getting new Zunes for Christmas.  N-I-C-E move Microsoft.  Can't wait for Mojave to come out.... whatever!

No luck with you ethier CrampedTuba, try to reiterate for a server technician to check their end. Its an authentication problem, probably really easy to fix if we can just convince these guys to go and look.
