That said, if it is possible to implement a software EQ, that's still a very, very, very optimistic view on the situation.
With that said AGAIN, the point of this petition isn't pointless, just slightly difficult to be in accordance to. We're the consumers, and it's up to Microsoft to satisfy our wants. Can we double sign this?
Haha, how naïve can you be? Those of us who willingly accepted Microsoft's offer for an offer (the advertisement, product info, hype, etc.), and went out and purchased the product as-is for a known amount of money, have absolutely no right to demand a feature not advertised.
Furthermore, devs from the Zune product team have already stated that the EQ hardware chip was removed purposefully (whether we the consumers like it or not) and that without the chip, an EQ would not be possible on this generation of the Zune.
From a business perspective, what Microsoft might consider is making sure this (obviously) controversial feature is included in future iterations of the product. It may not be (economically) worth it for them to create a software EQ for this generation... especially when there are several more pressing issues surrounding this version that can and should be fixed.
With all that said again x2 :-) .... I would like to have an EQ available, but it's not there, I knew it was not there, I bought it knowing that, and I am not going to complain, beg, and whine for it post-purchase.
