Hey BWilson,
Check out this thread:

This sounds like the kinda thing you're talking about. I agree a Popfly block would be cool as well.

You know I was bored and so had a chance to read the whole thread. One thing we never discussed is prizes. They need to be spread around of course, so that a handful of people do not win them all, and so that you can participate over time. So 1st person in does not win. (I can picture some Zunie up at 2am googling obsure bands). I am thinking free songs or points.
How about new lyrics? Take a song and offer new lyrics - You pick the top 10 and we vote - heck even allow people to preform them and vote on the preformances. I know is it a bit you-yube-ish. But what the heck it would bring people back to see who wins.
Be nice now -

PassMcNasty wrote:Hey, Jessica. Here's an idea:Have Windows Live messenger embedding into the Zune social page of a user. This way they can use their Windows Live from their social page, kind of like every other service has been doing for years now (i.e.: Google Talk)You could even expand this to include the Zune Software, and even the Zune device, after Universal Wi-Fi data usage and a Virtual keyboard has been developed for the respective platforms, that is. There's no reason you can't send and receive messages on the Zune to your Zune/Xbox friends. Being able to chat with your IM friends is only a logical progression from there.
Totally agree Mike. I made a passing mention of this here:

I'd be interested in what you think of my other ideas!
Very, very late to this, and just read through the length of the post.
Themes that kept coming up: “viral,” which I assume means an attempt to get something to spread rapidly. Scavenger hunts and trivia contests are great “games” to wrap this concept around. And prizes. Who doesn’t like prizes?
Zune Pets:
1) Pick a song from a list of the current top 100’s of any of the dozen or so lists that are out there or Zune recognized “trackable” songs. This is the genetic blueprint of your pet.
a. Pets are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet and (Paisely)
b. Pets are Male or Female or (Tribbles)
c. Pets species include Gidgets, Fidgets, and (Widgets)
i. Each combination comes with its own adorable, little forum icon
ii. 98-99% of the selections are merely random and do not come into play. Red/Female/Fidgets are as likely as Orange/Male/Gidgets.
iii. Selected (by the hand of the all mighty herself behind the scenes) each month is a sampling of songs that will be Paisley/Tribble/Widgets
2) You have to play with your pet to keep it healthy, so make sure that it one that you can live with for the next 28 days.
3) And you must let your pet out to play with other pets, or “share” your song with friends.
4) Sometimes sharing has unexpected results!
a. Sara Bareilles-Love Song produced a rather common Yellow/Female/Gidget. While, Daughtry-Feels like tonight also resulted in a rather common breed, a Green/Male/Gidget.
i. The two original pet owners are very happy to find that they now “own” a new icon. A cute, yet boring greenish-yellow Gidget of random gender.
b. Puddle of Mudd—Psycho happens to be a Blue/Male/Fidget. Korn’s Hold On happens to be Gidget. Red, orange, green. Male or female. It doesn’t matter. They can “play” together all they want.
c. Buckcherry’s Sorry is a genetic marvel…rarest of the rare a Paisely/Tribble/Widget. Anything that it plays with is going provide its owner and some other lucky pet owner with a much cuter return than the Bareilles/Daughtry pairing above.
d. Seether—Fake It also happens to be one of the rarest of the rare Paisely/Widget/Tribble types. If it gets to play with Buckcherry, well then, those two owner will delight in one magnificent pet icon that they can proudly display on their community card forever and ever and ever.

ASPCA and Bob Barker considerations aside, as well. Every 28 days, rinse, wash, repeat with a new set of secretly chosen paisley-tribbley-widgety goodness.
