I went to Circuit City around 11am today. They had the Zune 4/8s out, but none of the 80s were on the shelf.

I had to ask an employee and he grabbed one from the back room. It's awesome so far.

I've looked around and found that Zune 80 stock is pretty slim. It sounds like a few retailers sold them early which might explain why you are having problems finding one. Good Luck!

I want to know why there are no stores in Seattle and it's surrounding counties that sell the Zune 80.

I also live in Minneapolis, I called CC in Bloomington this morning and they had 2 in stock.  My GF works at Target Corporate, and she said they aren't getting the 80's in stores for like a month.  Good luck getting yours.

I picked mine up at lunch today at Circuit City here in Tulsa, OK. They had 3 left(probably only got 5) and a bunch of 4s, but no 8s. When I ordered off of the website this morning, both the CC stores reported they had them in stock.

Checked my local Circuit city in Powder Springs and no dice. Site lists none within 25 some odd miles around me (i checked several zips). Man this is 20 shades of lame.

Went to the Microsoft store this morning (for something different; I have my Zune on order from Amazon) and they said the factory failed to ship them...no retailers (according to the clerk) received the Zune 80, not even Microsoft.

Amazon's new scheduled ship date is 12/14.

Well, I managed to find a Zune 80 just inside the Houston area. I hope my order is legit and it is there this evening.

Earlier today I called a CC that just sold its only 2 Zune80's. So far it seems like there are only 3+ Zune 80's in Houston.

Oh, and a salesman at BB said that "someone from Zune" (his own words, not mine) was talking to their store manager about the situation. That's all the dirt I got though.

Man, does Microsoft really think that this is the right way to compete with the other big dogs? I mean, I want the Zune to succeed, but this is like thier second shot at this, and this year it sounds like they are pissing off more people. I hope they straighten this out quickly.

If any of you 'zuneys' are in the Houston area hit me up on a PM for the low-down on the Zune 80.

I called walmart right after getting off school and was able to get ahold of a zune 80. It was the only one they had in stock which seemed strange to me, but luckily i was able to get them to hold it for me Smile [:)]

I still couldnt belive that they would only carry one zune 80 on the day of realease... looks like microsoft screwed up this time.

Well, for me the situation was very similar to alot of you.

I phoned around alot to see if I could find a Zune 80 and everyone said that they either had none, or were sold out. So I walked down the road to my local circuit city just to get a game to soothe my rising anger due to my lack of owning a zune 80 and what do you know, I saw a zune 80 just sitting there, so I picked that thing up and brought it home.

 

I suggest you all go to a circuit city and don't take no for an answer. My z80 was inside a cupboard right at the back of all the z8's and it was not in the system for them hence why they thought they had none.

Check Circuit City. I managed to pick up an 80 GB with a $25 eGift card from there with no issues for $249.99.

Man i got to try that. Everywhere i went they said they were sold out, they haven't reiceved it,or they don't have them in stock. Man this bites
