At no time was I saying this is all the labels fault, but it started there with them saying we do not want people re-downloading any non-DRM content, period. To change this requires people very high in Zune and Microsoft talking with the labels to get permission to allow it for specific reasons. Any downloading error can be caused by the ineternet, the Zune Client, the customers PC and many other reasons. Bad content is another issue that gets effected by this as well. You buy an album but the MP3 audio is for a completely different artist, or skips. All of these are the reasons we are pushing for a change to this, but it takes time. Even for testing I have to have multiple accounts to verify if an MP3 is fixed or not. I know it is frustrating, but we are working to get some resolution to this.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE RELY ON ZUN 'RESTORE' IF WE KNEW AHEAD OF TIME that this huge issue would pop up. BUZZ KILL
the Zune Marketplace used to be WMA only. The restore feature WORKS for WMAs so long as you have not exceeded download limits and such. This has ALWAYS been the case.
Hold your breath someone is about to tell the greatest lie EVER!
mp3s are pretty cut and dry.......one time downloads only, WMAs allow up to five downloads. If the WMA is removed again it is NOT because of the ZMP it is SOLELY becasue of the RECORD COMPANY. That is it, they are the ONLY ONES at fault. Well actually that is untrue. If you are not backing up the product you buy and that product that you are allowed to burn is not backed up and it is somehow lost or damaged that is your fault. If you as a consumer do not want to take responsibility for your purchase and ensure that if something unforseen does happen you'll have a copy of it later on don't come here and complain about it.
While the MP3 policy is pretty cut and dry, the part that totally baffels me is that I cannot repurchase the MP3. Yeah sure I failed and lost my purchase and that's totally my fault. If I lose a physical CD I can go buy another one but I can't buy another digital copy? It makes no sense at all. So either I can go buy the physcial CD, hey at least it's a backup copy that I failed to make the first time, or if it was a single track I might resort to illegal methods which I, in a purely metaphysical sense, feel I'm being forced to do by poorly thought out policy. So by attempting to combat piracy, they encourge it in a way. Just my worthless 2 cents... Funny that the only thing I have to complain about is that I can't give them more money for something I already gave them money for once before. Sorry sir, we don't like money more than once. Keep your money and please don't dare buy our product more than once. Now move along...

Then you obviously do not own the songs. That only effects Zune Pass items not items you own. The media companies control the content on the Zune Marketplace NOT MS, they can add content or take content off at a time of their choosing with little to no say by MS.
