Most average cellphone buyers, don't even know if there is a thing called winmo. Which only means nobody real cares about it. Iphone in its 2nd year stormed the market and ate away a significant symbian marketshare. What makes you think winmo would even sell enough to meet its operating cost for making this crap. It doesn't even come until next year. In case you still wondering, ms is losing market, not gaining or retaining.
Nobody will miss me, i think your contradicting yourself, i have been an anti apple-person since you know when, used to be a ms fan until yoboy finally reached puberty and my sale sure does matters to ms. Ive bought two xbox 360s,1 xbox original and 2 vista and 3 xp packs,and some dozen of ms studio games.Not to include xbox live membership for the past 5 years.And only one zune, there are many reasons why i haven't updated to newer models,money aint one. I have awaited too long for next gen zune,that im getting an iphone this year.

Hey, don't think the the iPhone is top notch, actually the iPhone doesn't even work where I live, and I live in North Dakota US. Everyone up here has either Blackberry or WinMo. Another thing if people haven't heard of WinMo, what makes you think that they've heard of android? Sounds like your giving the standard user a little too much credit? If apple was so on top of things they would put the iPhone on a network that spreads around the US, at least MS put their phones on networks that actually put the "work" in the network.
I dont think Iphone is top notch , i believe it has set a high bar for Smartphones makers. You must be outta your mind, Iphone works everywhere its a phone not a cellular company.What makes me think people have heard of Android, you should ask tmobile about 1.5 million G1 sold in 6 months. Android os has been generating alot of buzz among pmp devices and netbooks, so i guess android is spreading its wings, i wouldnt be surprised to see a full desktop os by later next year.
Iphones have undeniably more apps that are easily accessable and recently achived a feet of 1 billion apps served. In just 2 years it has garned so much love and acceptance that no phone in history might have accomplished. Though i await for Palm Pre anixously.
Lets have a fact check
1-Ms revenues down 32% for the first time
2-Ms pushes to release winmo 6.5 offically much earlier than fall, im aware of the non official version
3-Winmo marketshare seems stagnant for some and/or decling at a faster pace in terms of future sales
4-MS cuts jobs mostly in winmo and zune dept
5-Iphones overtake nokia in mobile web use by 2%.
6-Zune is a failure in terms of sales. If it dont make dollars it dont make sense.
7- Social is on life support, ipod touch is more social without the social banner
8-Zune hd is faced by apples very own Ipod HD and Iphone HD which would stray more people away from zune
9-Apple Profits increase, they have not just survived the reccession but have shown how company can still sell its product in a downturn economy
10- If Iphone hd comes out before zunehd, consider this a warning that you should stock on zunes now before they get discontinued.Not to mention there will be 3 new iphones this summer.

The minute i read your last line, i knew you had no sense what you were talking about.Where didcha get this Ms phone seriously i gotta see it to believe. Its the so called winmo partners eg LG,Samsung, Sony And HTC that decide the fate of where the ms os goes.Ms doesnt have a phone therefore they dont put it on network.
Anayzle for a minute Iphone is a single device creating so much buzz, sales, profits, development craze and every tv network is trying to jump on the app bandwagon. You think alot like stevie bummer, like ice cube would say use your head notcha back. If verizon hadnt rejected the deal to carry the iphone you wont be bickering about it, so it is settled that it wasnt a fault on apples part.
Remember how Verizon turned down apples phone suggesting that it wont be worth a go, suggesting that it would be dead on arrival ironically 2.5 years from the day verizon has a crush on iphone. In a recent report it shows iphone makes up for at&ts losses.
