LOL I'm now 51 minutes into this Microsoft call with nothing helpful. I keep asking the Tech if we can just get a server technician to check the authentication servers for settings. I'm not getting anywhere lol, I will keep everyone updated on the progress. Thanks for being patient!

I was having some issues earlier this evening where the Zune software kept crashing so I reinstalled it and then I started getting this message and all my Zune Pass files are inaccessable.   

watch ownership is it's own reward.

Me too.  I guess the DRM server is bust.

I can download songs from the Zune device's marketplace menu and downloading/playing works fine, just not via the PC.  I've reinstalled Zune, reset the DRM thing, everything.

I can't download Zune Pass stuff, the Download button just vanishes for a second then appears again.  Stuff I've already downloaded doesn't work anymore either.

What gives?

they should give all of use free lifetime zune passes for this problem..I am seriously thinking about selling my zune now and going back to IPOD..I never had trouble with my old ipod but I didn't like it as well as I do my zune until this started happening...

Glad to know that it's not just me. I just got my zune delivered today and ran into this problem. Needless to say I am extremely annoyed. I am totally anti-Apple but this is making the iPod looking mighty tempting...

Everyone try downloading a song by using your Zune, not your PC, and see if that works.  Just as a test to see if we all really are in the same boat.

it has to be on their end...
it's no coincidence that we all got the same problem, at the same time, that we've never experienced before.
unlike other people, i can still play downloaded music, just can't download more.

even though i am sorta upset that I can't download some albums i was looking forward to listening to,
at least the problem is most likely not on my side.

I am getting the same error. My subscription is good til March 2009.  Everything was working fine last night when I did the bulk of my downloads.  Now this evening nothing.  I am paying a pretty penny for my downloads..so I expect it to work. Please fix this problem immediately, or reimburse me for my subscription.

I've got the same problem as everyone else.  Though if you don't want to wait for them to fix it, just download straight to your zune using the marketplace.
