Some people downgrade for the GUI, some because the software no longer has WMP for a backbone and doesn't have all the WMP features (even tho every single one of them can be done with 3rd party apps with no need to completly downgrade and void your warentees)

Some people downgrade because of bugs that are easier to fix then it is to downgrade, some people downgrade due to bugs that cant be fixed.

It just varies. It's usually always like this when a software takes a leap like this, even worse when they prevent people from downgrading easily, even worse then that when it's a rushed holiday release and they forget to add certain things some people concider nessessary.

Actually you might consider visting a psych or something to revisit your deep seeded mental issues.  I'm not sure as to what you were trying to accomplish by posting my myspace stuff in the zune forums.........OBVIOUSLY it's public therefore anyone can actually go and look at it any time they want without ridicule.  I'm sorry you're sense of humor is rather lacking as is any type of mental matuirty.  The argument is not about a right to be upset it never was though you can make it out to be w'e you'd like it to.  Maybe now that you're over acting like a stupid high schooler you'll feel better about yourself when you wake up in the morning.  You are for sure........nobodies hero for having done what you did 'cept maybe your own.

-downgrading IS a good idea for me not only for the music, but i'm having problems playing any of my movies, so i hope downgrading will help me. I also dont use marketplace.i bought my zune because the halo themed was THAT awesome.

This Downgrade saved my Zune, Thank you so much!  

I was unable to sync my Zune with the new firmware, CONSTANT  error #C00D124D.  This prevented me from syncing anything.  I wasted 3 days fighting with this thing and was ready to throw it away. 

Now that I have the OLD firmware, the Zune works perfectly! 

Anyway, just another vote for why old firmware ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my problem was that 95% of my music was useless because of the js-type... and just didn't like the new software personally for other reasons (read post in "why you h8 the new zune2 software) lol

as for other people on this thread - where are the forum-admins/mods?? please keep this post on-topic and erase/ignore/ or even ban some people for flaming threads and posting useless trivialcies that don't relate to the topic on-hand.... :)

if anyone else tries to downgrade but faces problems, feel free to PM me for advice or simply post on here... not sure how long the downgrade link will work - so if it disappears - i have all the info necessary to aid you
