Well, see, the folder I ripped everything to was called Zune. I deleted said folder, then I manually deleted all the songs from my Zune software, so as far as I know I deleted it all. BUT all of my music from that Zune folder is still accesible from WMP, I just need to know how to get it from WMP to the Zune software.

If you can play music through WMP then the files are still available.  You just need to locate they folder they are in.

Click start > Search and search for MP3 AAC or whatever file type you have.  It should show what folder they are in.  Click on a song in WMP and make sure you can play it first.  If it can't find the song then look in your recycle bin. If the folder is in your recycle bin then restore it.

re: STICKY: Guide for fixing your music library for those having issues.

I do not have a CurrentDatabase_365.wmdb on my computer. Is there another way to restore my old library.

Here's the problem I've been having:

I just downloaded the new Zune software, and it added a whole bunch of new files to my song list. These new files are duplicates of songs I already had in my library. However, the albulm information on these files is all messed up, and these songs do not play. I cannot delete these songs from my library, but they are already sinced onto my zune. When I try to play these files on my zune, my zune freezes up. After about 5 or 10 seconds I can go back on my zune and try to select another song, but many times that song doesn't work either. How do I delete these songs from my zune and restore my original library.

Thanks for your help.

re: Fix from the Zune Product Team
I managed to rename the files as required which seemed to fix my library, but when I synced, all the corrupted data remained in my Zune.  I have since deleted all content and am re-syncing to see what happens.  I have lost out on an evening with my toddler because I'm stuck trying to deal with this mess.  Thanks a bunch.

^^^^^What is this? I can't even find that on Vista.

It is actually here for Windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\{your_username}\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Zune\

This stuff is just not on my PC. I could find easy on my XP system. Nevermind. Hidden files were enabled.

Itunes software fixed my Zune software library........nice.

It should be

C:\Users\[Insert your login name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Zune

If you cannot find it make sure you have Show Hidden Files and Folders turned on.

In Vista, it is turned on by going to the organize button (in explorer). Click Folder and Search Options. Goto the Views tab, and change the option in the list box. Hit OK. That should make it show up.

I'm sitting in my "Application Data" folder, and the only thing in here is "Google".
What's up?
P.S.-
I do have hidden folders/files shown.

You are using Windows XP, correct?

If so, "C:\Documents And Settings\[Your Name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Zune" would be the correct path for you.

By chance, are you in "C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Name]\Application Data\" instead?

If not, post what your directory structure looks like. Copy it from the address bar at the top of Windows Explorer.

Make sure the path is correct:

C:\Documents and Settings\{your_username}\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Zune\

If you upgraded it should be in the path below:

C:\Documents and Settings\{your_username}\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Zune\

Click on  Collection >Music then select settings at the top right.  Select software ands make sure only your music folder is listed under music.

Once you get your sotware library corrected I suggest you erase your Zune and resync.
