Are you serious. I have my zune for just 1 year and in that time I have had multiple issues with it. The least microsoft can do is compensate its loyal customers with some lousy songs because of this. I tried to get something other than an ipod and was really excited to see the zune when it first arrived. I also have an xbox 360 which has also had issues. This tells me that microsoft does not know or care about quality hardware. My new year's resolution is to abandon microsoft and go with apple.

maybe they should just give us a 120gb for free cause a free zune pass does nothing for me

ok, well i just feel that a zune pass is way to cheap of microsoft to just fix this and give us one of those, if they fix it today i dont expect anything but if it takes a while then we should all get prenium headphones for freee.

If they can't fix this problem, they'll probably just try to placate us with a credit to buy a new zune, not enough to actually buy a new zune. We should be compensated though. Maybe some microsoft points to buy a few albums or a three month zune pass would be very nice.

i have refused to purchase the zune pass because i feel like it a huge rip off to basically rent music that you have to give up as soon as you no longer have the program.
i highly doubt they will give up any kind of compensation. if they get it fixed, great; if they don't, i'm not getting my hopes up, just expecting a royal "oops our bad, your s*** outta luck though"
i would take the points, though, cuz that gives you more-or-less some kind of ownership to the music (i think).

that sounds good, i was in the process of selling my zune for 100 bucks and it just died.

Zune Pass my can. I bought my Zune when it first came out and have not had one problem with it the entire time, meaning that this is not an length of ownership issue. Bill Gates and Microsoft are not hurting for money. The Zune didn't build that empire which means that if they replaced these defective ones, it won't kill them. Say what you want about the car industry, if there is a problem with something, they issue a recall and fix or replace it on their dime. Microsoft should do the right thing.
