The same thing happened to me this morning. I've tried resetting it and I also called customer support and they're not answering. What do I do?

This is world wide, it appears ALL 30GB Zunes Powered up at or around 12M Midnight Local time , reset and froze. Typical, just look at the Xbox 360. I would appreciate MS at least releasing a statement on tjis, but so far nothing!

Ya d00d, my 30GB froze, as well as another 30GB zune that a buddy in my office has. Seems to be a worldwide thing. I'm with you man, no fix in the next couple of days & I'm going with the iPod!! Plus I'm considering going to Linux on my PC rather than Windows and leaving the Zune will help as well since they don't work on Linux!

Mine as also froze... man I was really liking my zune too.. :(

Without music life would be a mistake.

I wish MS would at least acknowledge the issue. Say something smart like, "we know about the problem and are currently working on a solution." But they're not and taking the cowardly way out. Or they're having NYE parties and too drunk to notice. One or the other.

iPod doesn't work with linux either, sir.

If you switch to linux, you're going to have trouble with a loooooooooot of things not working. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience here :[

JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH CUST SUPPORT SAID THEY ARE AWARE OF ISSUE AND WILL CONTACT PEOPLE VIA SITE TO A FIX IN 24 HRS OR SOONER TECHS ARE WORKING ON IT. HELP I THINK WE'VE GOTTEN A FLU SHOT FOR THIS OH WAIT WRONG VACCINE OOOPS

Frozen 30gb Zune here in Seattle

Must be a virus having to do with the date.  Same frozen Zune screen issue.  I live in Seattle and will check with my friends who work at Microsoft.
