maybe microsoft will send us all new Zunes :)

Yeah.... No. I'm sure Microsoft will have a much easier way of doing this that won't involve half of the Zune 30 population cracking their case.

Oh man, thank you! Mine just did the freeze thing about fifteen minutes ago and I couldn't figure out what on earth to do short of letting the battery drain. I might try letting the battery drain too, and if that doesn't work, I'll try this.

Well, I Have 2 Zunes on TWO Different PCs, My Brothers was locked up when he came home, he was syncing it, it was locked up on the boot screen, with the loading bar at 100%,

and I just noticed mine is the same way.

Anyone Elses Zune Non Responsive?

Zune30's here BTW

And its not New Years.... Yet...

This has happened to me, too. And the thing was... we have two of them. (My brother and I), and they're 30GB HDD Zunes. This is really creepy how this happened at the same moment.

Umn, I was wondering if the constant logo on screen will produce a "fade-in image." Also, what exactly does that "Hard Reset" do? Will it wipe the contents?

AFAIK, If you Pull the Battery, the next time you boot up it will require you to re-install stuff.

Same thing here.  We've got two Zune 30GBs.  One was docked in the Zune Docking Station, the other wasn't.  At exactly 2am CDT (12am PDT), the docked Zune made the "unplugged from USB port" bong-noise and went to the boot-up screen with the 100% loading bar...and froze.  At 2:30am CDT, I decided to check the other Zune.  Turned it on and...frozen at the 100% loading screen.  Something's clearly wrong with the Zune 30GBs.  I hope they get this fixed soon...I just got my Zune for Christmas, and I was loving it!

Seriously it took a whole 2 mins if that, not a scratch on the baby either! Oh well, to each their own, I'll be listening to mine with no problems while everyone else freaks out waiting for Microsoft to fix it. ;)
