Any chance any of your music has weird metadata - foreign characters, symbols, etc?

Not in mine, no. Well, at least not in the ones I tested with for sure, and I'm fairly certain the others don't.

Me too. Songs I play in the software work ok. But not on the device. I just downloaded a couple of songs from the marketplace (no wierd metadata) and tried it out on those. I unlinked, played the songs then relinked and synced, got nothing.

Yeah Mine Is Still Not Working,  We're Talking About The Same Songs I Was Playing Before The Update & It Shows Nothing Played On The Device But Everything Played Through The Software.  Just A Little Frusterating Since I've Got Family And Friends Involved On My Social Finally & Now Mine Wont Work.  Irony???

Not any of mine. I have spent lots of time in the past ensuring that all my metadata has been correctly filled in, cover art and all. I even have all my music broken down by artist and album so that all my folders are correct have the right folder.jpg files.

Here's the thing: if you have *any* music files with *any* weird metadata, even if they're not the ones you played, your upload may be blocked if you *ever* played them. It's not definite, but it's one more possibility.

Well in my case I blew away my Zunestore, refomatted my device and started over. I've played music that has not ever had issue before and yet still none of my device plays upload.

Some of my songs do have the following characters ( ) [ ] but those are the proper track titles, some designate (Radio Mix), etc.

Wow. Okay. So, we also collect all your songs that you've rated (heart/broken heart) - any chance any of those songs have weird metadata?

No broken heart songs sync to my Zune. I haven't had issue with software plays uploading even if it's the same song I played on the Zune. What about "comments"? Some (very few) of my old mp3 files have comments from the software that ripped the cd. The Zune software never shows that much metadata but Windows does. So when I can I try making sure any unnecessary data is removed.

No, my device plays dont count. Played two albums last night on the device and synced it. I could see the songs "update" during the sync process, but then they dont show up, either here, or on my software.

My software shows song plays here, and it has the same metadata, so I can't figure out what's going on.

I'm also synced in as myself and not a guest. (I have been going back and forth between guest and host with the previous (2.5) version.)

Okay. I'll give that a go. That's a lot of music to go through, so it might take a while.
