Red 80GB devices will start shipping out to folks early next week <insert applause here>
I can't get into the details of the "delay", nor can I give you an update on exactly when your specific order will ship, but it comes down to this: the Zune Design team takes product quality very seriously. We couldn't in good faith release the product when we hoped, so the difficult decision to hold shipments of the product was made.
I know there are many of you who have been waiting anxiously for your Zune Original device, wondering when it would arrive. We definitely could have done a better job with giving you a better sense of order status and we're actively looking for ways to improve the transparency into the ordering process. I do think when you get your device, you will be very happy with your purchase. We understand that the Zune Originals customer is special, and we thank you for your support.
