What I like:
*graphically pleasing to browse
*I like the Zune pass - it helps me find new music and similar music.
*Games on the Zune
What I don't like:
*The software is slow after clicking on a new album, as it takes a little too long to load. Perhaps prefetching all of an artists' albums at once would help here, or displaying the information for the first, and then proceeding to download the rest in case you decide to view them also.
*There are no Zune games on the marketplace.
*There are no movies to purchase
*What's available on X-Box marketplace is not available on Zune. Same account, I would prefer unified content across both platforms.
*there is no indicator to tell how many songs I've used my 10-free on. The 10-free also does not roll over per month
*some albums not available
*The software is not designed for widescreen displays. On the right is a large whitespace that could be more effectively utilized
*Album covers should be a bit larger, perhaps 500x500, or at least 300x300. TV Shows should look like DVD covers, not album covers.
*the TV Shows present are incomplete - 1 or 2 seasons at most. Only Knight Rider classic looks complete. Please fill out these TV Shows.
*There should be more TV Shows present. Please sign some deals or work out arrangements to get more TV Shows on Zune.
*there is no HD Content.
*tv shows and music videos are jumbled together. Please separate out into TV Shows, Movies, and Music Videos as 3 separate categories.
*Audiobooks and text format books could be bundled into the software to make discovery easier.
Opportunities to improve:
*Signing more deals to place more content and exclusive content that iTunes does not have.
*Update content weekly, and highlight the new stuff. Fill out the catalog with inexpensive back titles to give variety, but emphasize the blockbusters of today (300, The Patriot, Watchmen, Transformers, Iron Man, etc.).
*Speed responsiveness of the software when switching categories and albums
*Increase album art size, and change TV Show thumbnails to DVD cover aspect.
*Make the software widescreen for modern computers. Most people nowadays use widescreen displays.
*Unify the X-Box and Zune content so what you see on one is available on the other.
*Movies and HD movies. Also, if you download a movie, have a few extras come along with it for using your Zune (interviews, behind-the-scenes, etc.)
*Link the Zune software with the Media Center so you can browse and buy content on the big screen.
*Update the Zune software so that it looks Windows 7 native - thumbnail play controls, and show album art when minimized, otherwise, the video playing within the taskbar thumbnail.
*Importing videos - I don't want them to automatically synch to my Zune, which they do even if I set it to manually synch. There's no easy way to stop this behavior.
*Space Battle, the game, the controls are not very responsive. I clicked left on the D-pad, and the ship stayed at the right edge of the screen. Not very helpful.
