hey i have a zune 30gb i know doesn't have zune pad but was wondering if there's a way i could send it in and get zune pad

highly unlikely. they would have to like redo the whole thing, giving you the newer ones

No.  just buy a 80 of ebay or stick with the ZuneBrick30 (yes, I own one and bought an 8gb just for the physical size)

I've got zunepad turned off now, it's too touchy when riding.

Hello. My ipod 60GB video was stolen out of my car. I hate apple's software (itunes does not work right 1/2 the time), and I did research on the zune. I bought both the i-touch 32 gb and a Zune 120 gb to compare.

If you want to know my opinion on the Zune's touchpad: I hate it. You need to copy the i-touch and just use the screen as an interface. The i-touch's interface is perfect.

 Why do I hate it?

After a week, I left my zune in my pocket. Ever since then, the scrolling has been eratic (it moves around when I'm not touching it) to the point where I had to turn it off. In addition, I cannot even use the up/down/left/right properly. They don't work half the time. I don't get why it's doing this, but I googled it and found other people with the same problem had simply erased all the data and it worked for them. I tried this but it is the same.

Does anyone have any advice in how to get it working again or why it did this in the first place? I love zune's software and interface with my xbox360, but it's not worth having if I have to spend 20 minutes trying over and over just to click on my song.

well i do agree that the zune pad is sensitive  1. Set the Hold Switch to unlocked. 2. Press and hold the Back button while you press and hold the top of the Zune Pad. When the Zune device begins to power up, release the buttons. 3. Immediately after you release the buttons in step 2, press and hold the following combination of buttons, depending on your Zune model: - If you have the Zune 4GB, the Zune 8GB, the Zune 16GB, the Zune 80GB, or the Zune 120GB, immediately press and hold the Back button while you press both the Zune Pad and the Play/Pause button. Continue to hold these buttons until your Zune device restarts and "Please wait" appears on the screen.s pretty sensitive. i would have to tell you to either restore or reset your zune device.

what a piece of ***. I did all of the suggestions mentioned and it is still all over the place and not responsive. Zune's break after a week, huh? that's quality! It's too bad, I really wanted to support Zune, but in all honesty, the i-touch's interface is 1,000X better. I'm so pissed off.

sorry nothing worked and i do agree that Microsoft wastes their money on stupid crap.

My Zune 30 has been a staple of mine. I usually take it to school twice a week, and it runs great for me. Some times, though, I can't delete files off the device, and right now it WON'T CHARGE. Everybody else has iPods, and I'm the little guy that has to stand up for what I believe in. I've tried two USB ports on the back of my computer. Did they wear out, or is the Zune malfunctioning?

try a usb hub they work

Clearly an Apple zealot trolling. Only the most blinded calls the iPod touch i-touch and saying the Zune is a copy of the iPod Touch's touchscreen interface. The two are light years away from each other and can not be anymore different. Touch screen =/= trackpad.

ive had the 30g for about 2 years and i like it.i just wish it had a sleep timer so if i fall asleep with it on or leave it on, it turns off by itself so it doesnt waste the battery
