Zune Order Fullfillment

I will use the refund to get a charge stand for it so i can keep it by my bed and another one for my office. That is about it. It can sync via my home Wi-Fi network so i don't need to connect to the computer.

I can but the Fed Ex place is far away from my house and I have never been in that part town, so i don't really have any idea how to get there. And it is suppose to be delivered tomorrow before 10:30 but I have school from 9:30 to 11:30. And I can't skip tomorrow because of tests.


So I believe everyone has got their zune?! How do you guys all like it? Is it your first zune?

The Red option is gone from zuneoriginals.net!  When will it be back...can someone give us a time estimate?

I'm really enjoying the Zune.  I like it a lot more than my previous iPod!

Jfunkese- I could do a side by side with the new iPod Classic but I think I'll sell it!  My brother in law has been wanting one, but i think I'll sell him the classic before i show him my Zune!  hahaha...  Otherwise he'll want to buy a Zune as well!!

yeah i had to use mapquest to find the fed ex it took me a little over an hour to get there and home again. what's up with the fed ex being so far out of the way?

Hmmm...

I doubt it will be available again.  With the last generation of zunes, they would release a different color for a limited time and, correct me if I'm wrong, it would disappear never to be rereleased.

 

Also I picked my red zune up this morning.  Valentines  day and there it was.  No shipping notice at all so what a surprise!

I must admit, as much as I was looking forward to it, I could not have been more thrilled than I was when I received it.  The packaging for the valentines wrapping was exquisite.  It came with a valentines card, a 'share the love' poster, in a awesome box with a red ribbon on it.  nothing could have been done any nicer.  nothing.  I have many things from apple, and everyone always praises their packaging, but this was something that the people at msft took some time on.  I had a big ole kiddy smile on my face!

now to get er done (ie loaded :) and start listening.

SoCo- glad to hear you got yours as well!  It took me a long time to charge (~4 hours) before it turned green.  Syncing took approximately 2 hours (23 gigs of music and tons of pics and videos).  I agree, the packaging was exquisite.  A real difference from just buying it at the store.  I was able to put the invisibleshield on and it looks pretty good.  but i felt guilty covering (even invisible) the beautiful zune.

I just realized there is one person who did not get their zune yet.  Sorry DruJC!  Hope your sister will be able to get it when she returns and send it to you...

I'm feeling a little guilty now.  I have it at work along with my personal laptop synching up.  Almost 55 gig of data so I can understand it takes a while :)

because I WOULD end up scratching the heck out of it and then I'd be SO souper sad.  The crystal case is very clear and protects it nicely.  I would love to get just something that protected the screen, but I love my red so much now I want it to stay looking mint :)

and BTW - the new zune plays really nice with an apple macbook, it's pulling in my entire itunes library (minus itunes store purchases) and putting em on the zune just dandy.  great job zune team!

I also used the InvisibleShield which I really like and added some sparkles.

Got my Zune!

Congrats to all of you guys who got your Zunes this week, especially WoodyWindy and Halogene.  And good luck to those of you still waiting for the FedEx truck.  Maybe the arroe between the E and the X in the logo is actually the horn from a magical unicorn. :)

 

I've had my Zune for a little over a week or so now, and I love it!  Sound quality definitely beats my 4G iPod, and the screen is awesome.  I'm really happy with the way the engraving came out, too.  I'm still dealing with some tagging issues with my music (Zune uses Album Artist as primary instead of Artist, which is the reverse of iTunes/iPod, and it doesn't recongnize the disc number tag, so I've had to re-tag all of my multi-disc albums), but I see the tagging as a setup issue, not a fault.  I need to get some more video on the Zune next so I can use the screen for more than album art and podcasts.

 

By the way, I bought the "clear" silicone case from ZuneOne.net (link, review).  It's actually kind of white-translucent, but the red shows through, as does the engraving.  It doesn't look quite as good as the naked Zune, but it will do an excellent job preventing scratches and other wear.  I recommend it, especially at $12.  I ordered it last Tuesday, and it arrived in my mailbox on Saturday.
