I'd help you if I could........I'm having similar problems......along w/my songs "freezing".......and a long waiting period in between songs.  I've had my zune for over a year and didn't have a problem until I upgraded the software a couple of weeks ago.  Very frustrated.  I've posted a couple times about it and waiting for a "fix" from the powers that be.........SOON - I hope!

I'll let you know if I hear anything or figure it out on my own!Wink [;)]

it would be cool if anyone else who's having this problem would post here too.

because then, we can let you know if we have found a fix for it.

Good job......best to keep this one on top! 

Today I tried deleting songs off my device and downloading them again from marketplace (pain in the @#$!)....no such luck!  Synched .......still getting ZUNE FREEZE!

Wish someone had the answer!

My brand-new Zune's done this a few times too.  It's not really bad, but it just happens at the most random times.  I don't even touch it, and it suddenly stops playing and I have to restart it.

Is it the new software?

I know.

It's a pain in the butt because mine does it like every 10 minutes.

I think it might be the new firmware, because aparently this hasn't been a problem till just recently.

to be honest, I thik it's the firmware.

I want this to be fixed..

I can watch movies and look at pictures fine, but when I'm just listening to music or the radio, it just turns off after 5-10 minutes.

hey bro having the same dam problem.just got my Zune80. music and video r fine till i play music every 10-20 mins my Zune shutsdown completely and takes about a minute to turn on.

come on microsoft fix the problem.

same problem here.  I got my 80G for xmas, have never dropped or bumped it, The only content I have added is from my personal CD collection, or Zune marketplace.  Randomly it completly restarts (as in a the Zune logo appears with the loading bar underneath it).  So far I can not determine a pattern for what is causing it other than that it only happens when I am listening to music (it has never crashed while using video, or Pics).  Anyone with any suggestions on how to fix it?  Its really annoying, sometimes I will listen for hours with no problem, but sometimes it will crash every few minutes.  I was considering trying to exchange it at the store, but it sounds like this is a common problem.

Ok, have any of you tried using different headphones? There seems to be a problem with the headphone jack that causes the Zune to reboot itself.
